Ansley returned to the cave when she heard Vance snap, crossing her arms as her rose/red eyes hardened a bit. Sheesh, this boy was mad worried about Maria huh? At his question, she stared at the unconscious girl, then back to Vance. "Two days at most. If she heals quickly, she might even awaken in 24 hours... But if her injury is worse then she'll be out for a long, long time." She thought of mentioning death, but she decided not to. Instead, she yawned and stretch, multiple joints popping louder than she intended. "Mm..." She went into thought, eyes narrowing and a hard frown forming. She could start up a conversation with Vance... But the boy was so stubborn and spoiled! Eh whatever, if anything her punches hurt way more than words. Sitting down next to him, but not to close and putting a pillow on part of her back, she said, "Hm. You did a pretty good job wrapping her up. You plan on changing her bandages in the morning?" and watched him for a moment before unwrapping the wraps around her arms and fingers. She quickly added, "We also need a fire. I'll go look for wood in a moment." She was right, it was starting to get very cold, thanks to the wind and ocean.

Rosekit plopped down to the warm sandy floor of the cave. He was unsure where his mother, Ny-... Minnowpelt was, and this strange new cat, clearly inexperienced in dealing with kits had come. Rosekit longed to explore, so when two of the other kits, Willowkit and Otterkit snuck off, he followed at a distance.

She could hear her clan gasp around her in horror. "What? What are humans?" She wrinkled her nose. "Are they predators? Or prey?" She could hear the rest of the clan voicing their questions and worries below her, but she flicked her tail to quiet them down. "Before we act on this, I would like every cat to know MoonPaw is earning her medicine cat title tonight at Moonpool." She leaped down from the rock, signalling the meeting was over, and tried to make out what FoxPebble was saying over the buzzing of the clan. "CherryTail! What? Why did you leave her alone with them? She could get hurt from these...Humans." She paced impatiently. "Where is she?" She rushed toward the den, noticing the commotion that had erupted around it. Noticing CherryTail, she ran towards her stumbling mother. Picking her up, she carried her into her den. "What were you thinking, going up to those two legs? We barely understand them, yet you felt the need to allow them to play with your fur?" She sat, trying to understand matters, her tail swishing right and left as she did so. "Oh!" She meowed, surprised by the new cats who had entered the cave. "Do you need something?" She asked RowanFlame and FeatherStep.

"Yes, we need to find her immediately." WillowKit was already getting on his bad side. She was going to be a hassle. OH NO. He raced after her, and came to an abrupt stop as well, when he too noticed the strange scent. He bristled as one of them exclaimed angrily, but didn't lash out at the cats, and he quickly gathered the kits, grabbing DappleKit and BrokenKit in his mouth, and leaving the "Troublesome Two" behind for MoonPaw to grab. "No... where is BrambleKit?!" He asked suddenly. In his rush to not carry the eccentric kits, he had forgotten all about Bramblekit. He set his two down, and rushed back to grab him, and slipped back with the kit in his jaws. "Don't let those two out of your sight." He told MoonPaw, while he padded away to inevitably check on his two kits. "MoonPaw... it's getting dark. The queens will have to watch the kits. We have to go to the MoonCave." He mewed tentatively. They climbed up the slope, eventually, he had to sink his claws in, since the slope had become so slippery during the flood. When they reached the top, he entered the cave, slightly panting from exhaustion. As MoonPaw slipped in beside him, her fur shining in the moon light that filled the cave, he realized she didn't know. Or at least, wouldn't know. After all, her old clan's customs may have been different. "You're recieving your medicine cat name!" He explained, his voice full of excitement.

FeatherStep made sure RowanFlame was ok, before quickly searching the camp, to find the two cats who hadn't made it to the trees: CedarFur and OrangePelt. When she noticed MoonPaw had found them, she returned to RowanFlame only to notice a strange cat she had never met before eyeing him. "Much better now, thanks to MoonPaw." She replied, returning the lick. "Oh, she's having a meeting. Can you get up? Or do you want me to help you?" She asked RowanFlame. "No, I believe she went to check on damage to the elder's den." She meowed, as they headed over, beneath the cliff. She nodded her head, and passed the message on to CedarFur. "Oh, um, I think they're loners? Maybe they heard about Nyari, and decided to join too!" She laughed, smiling at her brother. "I'm not sure." she replied. "Maybe we should go see?" She mods over towards the newcomers. "Come with us! We can take you to WaveStar!" When they arrived in the cave, FeatherStep was relieved to see CherryTail, intact, and perfectly healthy already sitting in the cave.

He ran, happily over to his mate, nuzzling her cheek affectionately. "The kits came?" He meowed, aghast by how many there were. They had been separated in the flood, and he was glad she had survived. He purred looking at all the little fuzz balls with affection. "Have you found names for them all?" He asked, as one of them rolled over his paws. He laughed, "Yes, I am WhitePelt. I'm your Dad!" He smiled down at the kit. "Which one are you?" He rubbed the two of their heads affectionately with his paw, before picking them up. "We'd better get all of you to the nursery, before it gets too dark for you." He looks up. "I can watch them CedarFur!" He exclaims. "Hmm... where to start... How to entertain them...Hmmm..." He purred quietly to himself. "What do kits even like? Pin the tail on the mouse?" He was spending so much time pondering this, that he didn't notice three kits slip out.

He continued grumbling under his breath. H e half-heartedly called their names, grumbling MinnowPelt's under his breath. "Can WaveStar stop accepting ROUGES into our clan?" He asked out loud, half to himself, half to MapleLeaf. He sniffed at ToucanWing. "Just because you got a fancy new name, doesn't mean you are leader of the camp!"

She padded forward, eagerly. "MeadowWind!" She mewed, trying the name out on her tonugue, before blushing when she realized how quiet it was, and everyone was glaring at her for interrupting. "Sorry..." she muttered, blushing slightly. She curled her tail around her sister, in an endearing way, happy they were receiving their names at the same time. "I'm MeadowWind now!" She mewed proudly to her sister. "I...I think so..." She nodded her head, smiling at her mom. "Of-f Course!" She stuttered, still slightly in disbelief at her new name. She stalked beside her mother, curious of the two-legs whereabouts, and padded cautiously closer. She felt a rush of anticipation, and adrenaline ruffle her fur, and got close enough to sniff one of the two-legs strange pelt. She trembled behind her mother, but, bristled when the tall two-leg walked by. "I-I think so..." She purred happily, remembering her days as a kit. "Do you want to go hunting? All the fresh kill is in the ocean now anyways after that flood!" She joked.

"Where is everyone going?" she mewed, curiously. She ran up to Nyari, along-side with her other two siblings. "What's a Clan meeting?" She asked, hoping her siblings would know. "The big water and spitting clouds, and rainy rain drops are scary!" She mewed, following her mom into the clearing. "Why are you going over there mommy?" She asked. "Your name is, Min-MinnowyPelts? That's a cool name! She mewed, giggling. When she was set down with the other kits, she heard her brother. "I'm... I'm not sure..." She replied. "Yeah!" She replied, unusualy loud.

He saw WillowKit walk away, so he followed her, curious where she was going. But, as soon as they reached the cave, he tripped, tumbling into a tall, grumpy looking human's foot. After the glare, he cowered away in fear, breaking rank, and hiding behind WillowKit, clearly terrified by the aura of power that hung on Vance, and ThornWhisker, he'd found. They were not ones to play with. He giggled too. "WillowKit,... What is that?" He mewed in wonder as a butterfly flew past. He perked up at her exclamation, and ran towards them, immediately regretting doing so, as he stumbled and rolled into two larger cats. "Well... I don't want to be trouble for my dad, but I was going to try to sneak some of the fresh kill, since we aren't allowed to have that until we're apprentices!" Noticing her confused look, he explained. "The fresh kill pile is where the clan keeps all the prey. Every clan member is guaranteed something, except for kits." But, by the time they got there, Otterkit remebered the flood. "Right, the flood... Then lets go hunt our own prey!" He mewed with excitement.

He bounded around the nursery, until he tripped over a stick poking up from the ground. "That'll teach you to trip me!" he hissed at the stick as he raked it with his claws. "Sure," he chuckled darkly. "I'm done with it anyways." He was picked up by OrangePelt before he could say or do anything else. He struggled in her grip, not enjoying being licked. When set back down, he stalked around grumpily for a bit, before bumping into a new she-kit. "Sorry not sorry!" He began to say, before he looked up at her face. Suddenly he couldn't even finish his sentence. A that came out was "Sor-...Sorry!" He liked the pretty she-kit. "I'm PineKit! What's your name?" He asked DappleKit.

"Ok, " She purred louder, drowning out her last words, as the humans continued petting her. She looked up, as the "human" left. She had thoroughly enjoyed their stroking hairless paws, and was disappointed when most of them left the cave. She began to stride after them, before she came to her senses again. These were enemies. Why had she allowed them to take control of her? She fled the elder's den, searching for some-cat, any-cat. WaveStar, or RowanFlame, or FeatherStep, or, or CedarFur...Or FoxPebble? She purred in relief when she saw WaveStar, and she ran towards her. "I...I.." But she was cut short as 4 new cats entered the room.

She followed the cats, intrigued by the way they helped one another, and lived comfortably together. She looked around for their leader, to see if they could join this "clan". Curious, she sat under the cliff with all the clan cats. She followed the strange new cats into the den, curious who was inside.

She followed Mint. She was suddenly distracted by a handsome tom limping by. All though he was injured in the flood, Leaf couldn't help but constantly glance over at him, his sleek, shiny fur reflecting the light into her eyes. She followed Mint, and sat down too. She gasped, "So, they DO accept new cats..." She followed them inside, mewing a quick, "What is your name?" To RowanFlame. "Oh! Umm, my name is Leaf..." She blushed slightly.

"Come on, let's go!" Reluctantly, I stood up, bringing my bag and Poof with me. Another reason I disliked him, was his attitude. If he couldn't have something perfect, no one could. Sighing, I wandered off, deciding I would investigate one of the other caves, for shelter, and possible resources. But I was also secretly hoping for more cats. I suppressed an eye roll after he spoke. "Oh, I was just going to search these caves for shelter, and supplies," And more cats, I added mentally. "...and I am not gorgeous..." I whispered, barely audibly under my breath. I was sure he hadn't heard. I gasped as I saw how many cats were here. Poof mewed excitedly from my bag, but I didn't let her out. I looked around at all the cats, and gave an apologetic look to the two hissing cats. Even though it wasn't my fault Vance was treating them that way, I felt it was. Sighing, I turned around. "Vance Stop it! Flinging the cat aroundo will only make it dig his claws in deeper! Also, you're scaring the poor cat. There, I helped." I said flatly, as I gently removed the cat from his leg. I was quite tired, and my eyelids started to droop, but I snapped to attention, and fire ants marched up my leg. It was only a matter of time before- "Ow!" I cried as one bit my elbow. I looked up, and suddenly, I realized why my eyelids were droopy. I had a large gash across my forehead. I was a little dizzy, before my legs crumpled beneath me, and I blacked out. My eyes opened again, and there were fuzzy shapes around me. The blurry figures of a couple of cats, Vance, and Ansley were somewhat recognizable. I couldn't understand why the sand underneath me was so soft... And then I fainted again.

A loud rustle shook the young tom from his slumber. Perhaps it was his sister, back to share freshkill with him. In fact, he was right, but the twin didn't have any food for them. Double sat down and gently sighed. "Sorry bro. We'll have to steal prey again... If only you were there! That rabbit was huge!" She said, nearly salavating from the thought. Trouble sighed. This was officially the third day without food, and the twins had began to get irritated with each other. Rising to his paws, he stared his sister directly in the eyes. "We'll try again, but together. Lets hunt that rabbit!" He meowed, then began to pad to the exit of their hiding spot, and looked around. No sign of clancats, so the two began to bolt towards any prey scent nearby, slowing into a crouch and stalking.

BlossomTail walked through the forest with MeadowWind. She paused to sniff at the air, and turned her head to the right. To her satisfaction, a plump looking rabbit sat in the middle of a forest clearing, completely unaware of their presence. She nudged MeadowWind and tilted her head towards the rabbit. "That should be an easy kill." she whispered. "If the two of us go at the same time, it will have no chance of outrunning us." She slunk towards a nearby bush, and lowered herself to the ground, waiting for MeadowWind to do the same. Unbeknownst her, she and MeadowWind were going after the same rabbit as Double and Trouble.

MoonPaw about jumped into the air with surprise. She should have been expecting this to be the reason CedarFur had brought her here, but she had been too caught up in the moment to really think about it. "Really?" she gasped, her eyes sparkling with wonder. "S-so how does this work? Do you just give me a new name?" MoonPaw, didn't really have a clue as to how this worked in all honesty. At her old clan it had been an elaborate three day trial, and she hoped that it wouldn't be the same here.

WillowKit ran along with OtterKit, trying and failing, to hold back back her giggles. "This is going to be so much fun!" she squealed. She quickly glanced around to make sure that they weren't being followed. The last thing she wanted was to be caught and have their fun be spoiled! However, she was more than happy to see her her second brother, RoseKit, trailing behind them. "RoseKit!" she exclaimed happily. "Nice to see ya bro. Isn't it cool out here!" She jumped around as she spoke, unable to contain her excitement. "By the way, RoseKit, this is OtterKit. OtterKit this is RoseKit. Oh, this is going to be so much fun!"

Vance looked at Ansley in shock. "You've got to be kidding me." he muttered, a dark look growing on his face. He stayed silent as Ansley sat down near him. His mind was to busy processing the thought of Maria being out for a couple days... or worse. "Thanks." he grumbled. "Yeah, I'll change them in the morning. I'm not an idiot you know." As Ansley mentioned a fire, he realized just how cold it had gotten. He had been so busy taking care of Maria to really even notice the sudden drop in temperature. "Yeah, a fire sounds nice." he said flatly. "I'll stay here and hold down the fort. By the way, try and stay away from those cats. I think they're the ones who gave Maria that nice gash on her forehead." he quickly added. Vance was already stressed out with Maria injured, he didn't need Ansley getting herself attacked too.

Double had snuck up with Trouble and the two found the rabbit! Luckily, it seemed to be alone... The two of them grinned, then the tom leaped into a tree, moving quick, then watched the rabbit with closer intent, fur bristling. The more the twins thought about it, the more hungrier they got. But it was terribly important to wait, as their father told them. So far, it seemed unaware of the four cats presence.

Ansley, listening to Vance, began to feel a bit bad for him, but it faded quick. Giving off a playful chuckle at 'not an idiot,' she said, "I'll believe that when i see it." And went back to listening, nodding her head. "Don't worry bout me, Shiner. I haven't spotted a single cat since i've been here, if one gets near, i can ignore it. You should also patch up that cat bite of yours before it gets infected." The teen shrugged before getting up, rolling her shoulders and yawning. Grabbing the axe, she perched it on her shoulder and said, "Be back soon, Cap'n." and walked out the cave, the breeze feeling good but hurting.

"Yes, well we lay down, on these pebbles here, and touch our noses to the Moonpool, and close your eyes and let Starclan send you sleep. As Moonpaw mimicked him, he closed his eyes too, and he felt Moonpaw's body shudder. Was it nervousness? Anticipation? Excitement? Maybe she was just cold. He opened his eyes and saw ranks and ranks of Starry cats. Their ancestors. He could see Moonpaw in the distance, sitting next to Breezefur and Chestnutleaf, and his old apprentice, Poppypaw, who had died of a shark attack. He jumped, startled, when a bright red pelted cat's tail brushed against his side. "S-salmonStar!" He mewed surprised by the reapearence of his old leader. He was silenced as the original leader's bushy tail covered his mouth. "You have come about something other than her. You want to know why these new creatures have settled on your island. But even Starclan don't know." Salmonstar's voice became mystical as she continued, "The best you can tell your leader is they won't stay there long, and eventually 5 will drive them out!" Her voice returned to normal. "Go over there and join your apprentice. She'll make a wonderful medicine cat, that's for sure!" Salmonstar purred. Cedarfur wasn't entirely sure what had just happened, and his mind was whirring. I'm sure that was a prophecy... But what can it possibly mean? Shaking his head and clearing his thought's he sat in the distance as her ritual began. "...We give you your new name. Moonpaw, from this day onward you shall be known as Moonflower. Do you promise to serve, heal, and protect your clan, even at the risk of your life?" He could her her awed and shaky reply. "Starclan wish you luck on the new path your paws must take." FeatherStep made sure RowanFlame was ok, before quickly searching the camp, to find the two cats who hadn't made it to the trees: CedarFur and OrangePelt. When she noticed MoonPaw had found them, she returned to RowanFlame only to notice a strange cat she had never met before eyeing him. "Much better now, thanks to MoonPaw." She replied, returning the lick. "Oh, she's having a meeting. Can you get up? Or do you want me to help you?" She asked RowanFlame. "No, I believe she went to check on damage to the elder's den." She meowed, as they headed over, beneath the cliff. She nodded her head, and passed the message on to CedarFur. "Oh, um, I think they're loners? Maybe they heard about Nyari, and decided to join too!" She laughed, smiling at her brother. "I'm not sure." she replied. "Maybe we should go see?" She mods over towards the newcomers. "Come with us! We can take you to WaveStar!" When they arrived in the cave, FeatherStep was relieved to see CherryTail, intact, and perfectly healthy already sitting in the cave.

He ran, happily over to his mate, nuzzling her cheek affectionately. "The kits came?" He meowed, aghast by how many there were. They had been separated in the flood, and he was glad she had survived. He purred looking at all the little fuzz balls with affection. "Have you found names for them all?" He asked, as one of them rolled over his paws. He laughed, "Yes, I am WhitePelt. I'm your Dad!" He smiled down at the kit. "Which one are you?" He rubbed the two of their heads affectionately with his paw, before picking them up. "We'd better get all of you to the nursery, before it gets too dark for you." He looks up. "I can watch them CedarFur!" He exclaims. "Hmm... where to start... How to entertain them...Hmmm..." He purred quietly to himself. "What do kits even like? Pin the tail on the mouse?" He was spending so much time pondering this, that he didn't notice three kits slip out.

He asked out loud, half to himself, half to MapleLeaf. He sniffed at ToucanWing. "Just because you got a fancy new name, doesn't mean you are leader of the camp!"

She padded forward, eagerly. "MeadowWind!" She mewed, trying the name out on her tonugue, before blushing when she realized how quiet it was, and everyone was glaring at her for interrupting. "Sorry..." she muttered, blushing slightly. She curled her tail around her sister, in an endearing way, happy they were receiving their names at the same time. "I'm MeadowWind now!" She mewed proudly to her sister. "I...I think so..." She nodded her head, smiling at her mom. "Of-f Course!" She stuttered, still slightly in disbelief at her new name. She stalked beside her mother, curious of the two-legs whereabouts, and padded cautiously closer. She felt a rush of anticipation, and adrenaline ruffle her fur, and got close enough to sniff one of the two-legs strange pelt. She trembled behind her mother, but, bristled when the tall two-leg walked by. "I-I think so..." She purred happily, remembering her days as a kit. "Do you want to go hunting? All the fresh kill is in the ocean now anyways after that flood!" She joked. She crouched low, her tailswishing back and forth as she did so. She was about to pounce, when a strange scent entangled her nose. "Mom? I don't recognize this smell..." She mewed quietly. She turned her head this way and that trying to pin point its location.

That's a cool name! She mewed, giggling. When she was set down with the other kits, she heard her brother. "I'm... I'm not sure..." She replied. "Yeah!" She replied, unusualy loud.

He saw WillowKit walk away, so he followed her, curious where she was going. But, as soon as they reached the cave, he tripped, tumbling into a tall, grumpy looking human's foot. After the glare, he cowered away in fear, breaking rank, and hiding behind WillowKit, clearly terrified by the aura of power that hung on Vance, and ThornWhisker, he'd found. They were not ones to play with. He giggled too. "WillowKit,... What is that?" He mewed in wonder as a butterfly flew past. He perked up at her exclamation, and ran towards them, immediately regretting doing so, as he stumbled and rolled into two larger cats. "Well... I don't want to be trouble for my dad, but I was going to try to sneak some of the fresh kill, since we aren't allowed to have that until we're apprentices!" Noticing her confused look, he explained. "The fresh kill pile is where the clan keeps all the prey. Every clan member is guaranteed something, except for kits." But, by the time they got there, Otterkit remebered the flood. "Right, the flood... Then lets go hunt our own prey!" He mewed with excitement. "Oh! Hiya Seakit!" He mewed, excited. Now they had their very own hunting patrol!

When set back down, he stalked around grumpily for a bit, before bumping into a new she-kit. "Sorry not sorry!" He began to say, before he looked up at her face. Suddenly he couldn't even finish his sentence. A that came out was "Sor-...Sorry!" He liked the pretty she-kit. "I'm PineKit! What's your name?" He asked DappleKit.

"Ok, " She purred louder, drowning out her last words, as the humans continued petting her. She looked up, as the "human" left. She had thoroughly enjoyed their stroking hairless paws, and was disappointed when most of them left the cave. She began to stride after them, before she came to her senses again. These were enemies. Why had she allowed them to take control of her? She fled the elder's den, searching for some-cat, any-cat. WaveStar, or RowanFlame, or FeatherStep, or, or CedarFur...Or FoxPebble? She purred in relief when she saw WaveStar, and she ran towards her. "I...I.." But she was cut short as 4 new cats entered the room.

"Come on, let's go!" Reluctantly, I stood up, bringing my bag and Poof with me. Another reason I disliked him, was his attitude. If he couldn't have something perfect, no one could. Sighing, I wandered off, deciding I would investigate one of the other caves, for shelter, and possible resources. But I was also secretly hoping for more cats. I suppressed an eye roll after he spoke. "Oh, I was just going to search these caves for shelter, and supplies," And more cats, I added mentally. "...and I am not gorgeous..." I whispered, barely audibly under my breath. I was sure he hadn't heard. I gasped as I saw how many cats were here. Poof mewed excitedly from my bag, but I didn't let her out. I looked around at all the cats, and gave an apologetic look to the two hissing cats. Even though it wasn't my fault Vance was treating them that way, I felt it was. Sighing, I turned around. "Vance Stop it! Flinging the cat aroundo will only make it dig his claws in deeper! Also, you're scaring the poor cat. There, I helped." I said flatly, as I gently removed the cat from his leg. I was quite tired, and my eyelids started to droop, but I snapped to attention, and fire ants marched up my leg. It was only a matter of time before- "Ow!" I cried as one bit my elbow. I looked up, and suddenly, I realized why my eyelids were droopy. I had a large gash across my forehead. I was a little dizzy, before my legs crumpled beneath me, and I blacked out. My eyes opened again, and there were fuzzy shapes around me. The blurry figures of a couple of cats, Vance, and Ansley were somewhat recognizable. I couldn't understand why the sand underneath me was so soft... And then I fainted again.
