"Oh come on... You aren't useless..." She smiled at him, trying not to laugh. "I can work these things out you know." She smirked at him, batting at his ears with a paw. "What made you think of yourself as useless?" Blinking at him, her eyes large and innocent, she was trying to get information out of him without brute force... So far, it was a good change...

"Oh thats a load of bull." He said batting her paw away from his ear. "I've been here, what, 10 years. You've been here for 100's for years. Making your knowledge on life useful. Me? No theres nothing useful about me. I jsut get in the way." he said his head to the ground.

Shaking her head, she giggled slightly, closing her eyes. "Dinasty, you are just as important to the pack as I am. Yes I am older, but that doesn't mean that I am more important than you... So what if I know more, you are special in your own way because you can still remember what life is like. I can not. I can no longer remember the taste of meat nor the touch of snow..." She shrugged, sighing. "I'd give anything to feel that again."

"So would i. And yes i still remember the cold and the warmth. But what use is that? What use am i?" he stopped, looking to her with a serious, yet soft look. Asking this was huge to him. If she though he was worth something, and could be useful, he wanted to know what use he was.

"Don't you see, I've lost my emotion, my meaning. I've been here so long that I no longer am who I was... I can't remember life nor anyone I shared it with... I can't remember what it feels like to feel companionship, love, joy, sorrow... Anything. It is just survival for me now... Without you, we'd all be lost... Even if you don't think so, you remind us of life in your own way. You are very important to us." She sighed, looking at her paws as a frown crept across her face.

"You haven't lost your emotion as long as you can smile, or frown. You can love as long as you know your not going to get hurt. You can experience joy as long as you have your pack. You can experience sorrow, just by remembering what you miss. We don't just turn to stone when we die. we've come here because we deserve to. Because we still are allowed do everything. Even if we can't feel the snow under our paws. Even if we can't feel our hearts beating in unison. But does it really matter? am i just the one who makes everyone remember that when deep inside they know they only need themselves and the other pack members." Din said to her nudging her head up to look at him. "As long as you know you once had these feelings. You can still have them." din finished as he stood and went to walk away, back to the pack dens.

"Heh. Yes I can smile, yes I can frown. But I can't remember these feelings, so what you say is invalid. I can not feel love, only loyalty, a call of duty..." She shrugged, dipping her head to him as he padded off. That went surprisingly well... Maybe she would try that again sometime. Slowly but surely, she padded back to camp, sighing softly as the dens came into view.

"She doesn't get it." He whispered to himself as he layed under a tall green lifefull tree. "Why does she need me anyway? She can find a pack and watch them. Thats the most inspiring way to look for life. We can all feel still. Even if it isn't the cold wet snow under out paws. She can still feel happiness. She can feel it in every smile she makes. But she puts it away for another day. And so far, that day hasn't come. but i'll make it come. I will." he mumbled to himself. Almost insanely.
