Strike snarled at Semper Fi's back as he ran off, forcing anger to take the place of sorrow. Still baring her teeth at the world, the white she-wolf snapped open a pair of electric wings and took off, waiting until she had risen above the clouds to stop snarling. She flapped her wings a few times to keep aloft, then called up a storm cloud and laid down on it, the electricity creating static cling with her fur and holding the she-wolf in the air. When the burning anger evaporated, all that was left was a piercing sadness. Laying her head on her paws, Strike began to cry quietly. A few extra drops of water were all the cloud needed, and below, it began to rain. Why did I let him get so close? she thought. Love is for fools- I've known that my entire life. Ever since Raven- she choked quietly on her tears, but forced her thoughts to proceed. Raven died. I killed him. I could have killed Semper Fi. She sobbed mindlessly for a few more minutes, but eventually cried herself out and curled up on her cloud to think, closing her eyes. I knew better than to fall in love again. But I did, and now I'm paying the price. Love is the one way somebody can control you completely. They ease their way into your mind, your heart. And then they use you. And when they're done using you, they throw you away. Wounds heal. Heartbreaks never do.
I'm Wildmagic_warrior,
