Semper Fi looked directly at Strike, and he felt a surprising feeling well up inside him. Did he actually trust this violent she-wolf? SF thought about it, and realized he did trust her, if only a little bit, because Semper Fi believed she was actually a good wolf underneath all that evil and hatred. SF turned his attention to Neomie. "I'm sorry, but I don't think you should stick around." He winced when he saw the other she-wolf seemed a little put out. "I really am sorry, but honestly," he whispered very quietly so Strike wouldn't hear, "I don't think she likes you. Then again, I don't think Strike likes anyone!"
Turning around back to Strike, he asked, "So, do you have any idea where to go look first? Oh, and by the way Strike, just say the word, and I'll leave you alone, but only for a bit. I still won't abandon you, no matter what you do or say, but I will allow you privacy once in a while."
