A small grin came onto Cinderfoot's face as she saw the killed vole, of course she knew it would work, but she liked hunting with other cats than by herself, it seemed more fun. "Great catch!" she mewed, she rose her nose into the air and took a sniff, it took her a while but she finally had gotten the scent of a squirrel that just climbed from its tree.

After the 2 cats had bounded over he had turned his head to Brokenlight, he thought about her question before finally responding "Yeah fine, just make sure he doesn't break a bone" he responded, he turned his gaze back to the cats who were going on the patrol with him, "Let's go by the entrance of camp first, if we don't find much we will slowly move towards the border" he meowed, he began leading off the Hunting Patrol towards the entrance/exit, expecting the 3 cats to follow him.

He walked out into the open field and closed his eyes as he let the breeze flow through his long white and brown fur.

reedjaw shook his head then the rest of his body, he chuckled lightly at her soft smile of amusement. "yea had a bad experience as an apprentice when my father threw me in because i was being stubborn about catching fish. never really touch the stuff afterwards." he meowed then stood watching the she-cat. her small head and ears turning as she caught different scents. he was transfixed for a long moment, his eyes drew from her delicate muzzle down her sleek but clearly muscular back and to her graceful legs. he felt a warm feeling growing from his chest to his paws to his ears. but was thrown out of it as he felt the molly nudge him. he thought he had been caught admiring her, but then noticed she had spotted a a rabbit not far from where they were. luckily they were down wind at this point, he nodded in understanding and dropped into a hunters crouch. the mudd under paw was thick and he hopped he didn't get stuck in it as he crept towards the rabbit that leaned over the edge lapping up water. he grazed his tail across pebblestream's shoulder as he stalked to let her know to follow him just in case. he was now a tails length away from the creature and his maw was filled with the scent of rabbit. he soon felt his muscle's tense as he locked onto the hare, he noticed that the rabbit was lifting its head from the water. it was now or never, he leaped at the prey bit felt his back foot get stuck under an unseen root, he grunted but managed to catch the rabbit by it's back leg as it tried to run. gripping it with his claws he motioned for pebblestream to make the killing bite before he either lost a claw or breaks a paw.

the white molly flushed slightly at silverpaw's remark. "ah hah yea thank you." her rather large ears flicking back then forwards again as she looked at the tom before turning towards whitewater. her tail twitched as she looked around for her mentor jayfrost as well, she noticed whitewater pad over to the nursery den and tilted her head slightly. perhaps his mate is in the nursery.. but so is jayfrost's, how curious..

stonepaw's tail flicked lightly against his legs, he looked towards his mentor slightly before heading after breezefrost through the barrier. his paws pounded lightly on the softer ground of the forest, his ears twitched as he listened around him. he looked up to see two squirrels running across the branches. they soon scurried off onto another tree as they caught the scent of the three walking underneath them. he turned his eyes forward again realizing he wasn't able to see much as he was behind breezefrost. 'what a big fluff ball, he could drown a cat in his fur!' his own thought made him snicker under his breath.

hollowcry dipped her head with a purr but soon dug a shallow hole and placed the vole into it, then covered it with dirt before turning back to cinderfoot. she'd come back for it once they were done hunting, she padded towards the molly and stopped, catching the scent of squirrel just as the other warrior hand. "would you like to handle this one on your own? i'll be behind you for back up if the fluff tail gets away from ya." she mewed to her with a teasing purr.

As he exited the camp his ears raised up, the sounds of the forest animals, the leaves dancing in the wind, and other nature-like sounds seemed to calm him, he closed his eyes for a bit taking it all in till he shook his head back into reality "Even if you waned to be calm you cant.. you must accept it, Breezefrost" he thought to himself, he turned back to the other cats, he felt as if he heard a smirk from among the 3 but didn't bother to question it, "Okay, anyone got a smell of prey?'' he mewed to the cats in a stern tone.

Jayfrost, oblivious to his leader's announcement about him going on patrol, headed over to the nursery to check on his mate. He wondered every moment of the day how Dewflower was getting along, since she could be having her kits any day by now. It wasn't a surprise that Jayfrost came to check on her so frequently, for he was only doing what a concerned father of expecting kits would do. Once he made his way into the nursery, he heard his name being discussed by Whitewater to Dewflower. Why in StarClan is Whitewater looking for me? he wondered, curiosity getting the best of him as per usual. Jayfrost cleared his throat as he entered the nursery walls, announcing his arrival. He then looked at Whitewater with a solemn expression, "What do you need me for, Whitewater?" he asked the other warrior. Perhaps he was to go on a patrol? It would make sense, after all, giving his position in the Clan. If that was the case, Jayfrost would have to talk to his mate later, and he certainly didn't want that. But he wouldn't have a choice.

Whitewater looked up to see the grey tom. "Jayfrost, good morning." he said, dipping his head in acknowledgement to the younger warrior. "You have been asked to come on patrol with myself, Snowpaw and Silverpaw." he said glancing at Dewflower. He was sure that the tom had been coming to visit his mate. Whitewater was slightly jealous that Jayfrost got to become a father. He would love that someday. "I am sure you would like a few moments to check up on your mate," he purred sympathetically. "Please be at the camp entrance in 2 minutes," he said, turning around and leaving the two cats to talk for a few minutes.

Jayfrost's assumption was indeed correct, he was assigned onto a patrol. What could he expect, after all, he was a warrior of the Clan. It didn't come as much of a surprise that the leader wanted him to go onto a patrol, even if it was just a border patrol. He watched as Whitewater left the den, realizing how kind it was for him to let him check on his mate for a brief moment or two. "Thank you," he called as the other warrior left to gather the rest of the patrol, or so Jayfrost imagined him to be doing. He then turned his gaze around onto Dewflower and gave her a warm smile, "I suppose I better get going, Dewflower. I hope to talk to you later, then." he excused himself from his mate as he made his way out of the nursery and into the clearing, where the rest of the patrol was located at. Scanning his gaze about the camp, he landed his eyes onto the rest of the patrol and padded over to them. "Hello, Silverpaw, Snowpaw, and Whitewater. I'm ready when you are." he informed as he approached them, standing to a halt beside Whitewater.
