He crossed the border and soon came to Midnight's den. Inside he found their kits. Two of them, but where was their mother? Maybe she had gone out to get some fresh air? He curled around the kits and gently licked them.

Larson trembled before stumbling back to Midnight's den. He scented another cat. "H-hello? Don't take Midnight's kits!"

He looked back at Rosekit, Oakpaw's jaw was open in shock. "That's all you have to say? Mudkit almost just died so you couldn't be bored!" He looked back to Mudkit, making sure she coughed up the water. "It might be boring, but not enough to cost a life. If you're bored and I'm around, come talk to me." He looked back at Rosekit, shaking his head in disappointment, but he couldn't be mad at the kit, as they were young and didn't really understand death well. He picked up Mudkit, and flicked his tail to signal Rosekit to follow. He made sure Rosekit could keep up as he brought Mudkit to the medicine cat's den. He didn't see the medicine cat anywhere or Owlkit in sight, and knew he didn't have time. He repeatedly pressed down on her chest, hoping she would cough up the water.

He glared out at the den entrance growling softly. Who was this cat, how did he know Midnight? "I'm not going to take my
kits." He meowed.

She snarled at Oakpaw. 'At least I tried to save her from the start! You just stood there for a while! Besides she only fell into the water because you scared her!"

Birthday stayed looking into the road . She saw midnight drive off so she went on to the road and followed the monster

"Wait. You're Midnight's mate?" Larson asked before his legs started trembling. "M-Midnight... she was.." he couldn't speak more.

He looked back at Rosekit, too focused to answer. He kept pressing down on her chest, seeing some more water come out from her lungs.

He saw Owlkit and yowled, "Owlkit! Over here this is urgent, Mudkit's breathed in water and is dieing!" His tone was shaky and frail as he kept pushing down, until he waited for Owlkit to arrive.

Mudkit could hear Oakpaw as he yelled at Rosekit, but she didn't try to say anything. She just lay there, even as she was picked up, she didn't say a thing. The forest seemed like a blur, her vision becoming dark once again. Luckily Oakpaw had gotten enough water out of her to help her breath, so she was managing to do so. Her chest was rising and falling slowly though, showing how weak she was. Finally she felt herself on the ground and felt a cat pressing down on her chest. Almost at once she coughed up a few mouthfuls of water, feeling her stomach become sore."It hurts."she gasped
