Mudkit suddenly heard a noise nearby and whirled to see Oakpaw. She acted a bit quickly though and she felt her hind paw slip. She gave a small yowl of surprise before she fell into the water, loosing all of her breath at once. She froze for a moment, but was soon trying to swim to the surface, but she wasn't that strong.

Midnight wanted to snap at the tom at first as she felt another pang of agony got through her, but she managed to calm down."Yeah."she managed to say through gritted teeth. (fade to black?)

She leaned forward her teeth sinking into Mudkit's scruff. She dug her claws into the ground and tried to pull her clanmate out of the water. But she wasn't strong enough.

Mudkit began to use her hind legs to kick, her lungs screaming for air. She managed to get her head above the surface, but only for a heartbeat. She gasped a mouthful of air before going back under.

Midnight looked at her kits, giving a small purr."They're beautiful."she whispered. (Emerald and I are taking a kit I know. Emerald, should we give out another kit? Make there be three of them)

She narrowed her eyes and heaved with all her might taking a small step backwards. It hurt and she was tempted for a moment to let the other kit go and save herself. But that wasn't what a clan cat did. She dug her teeth deeper into Mudkit's scuff and took another step backwards.
