Murderers in Thunderclan V.6

Daisyslip crouched, sobbing silently. "I'm sorry Daisykit..." She whispered. Her gaze fell on Finchkit and she smiled softly. "Kit, your voice didn't exile Beetlenose, it was the mouse-brained warriors here." Gently picking the kit up, she brought him to a near by puddle and washed the blood off of him.

(since they're only now finding goldenstar, i'm supposing lionstrike is still deputy for a moment)

deputy (about to be leader). applestripes' mate. father of finchkit and fernpool.

Lionstrike woke up, his heart pounding. He looked around him. It was just a nightmare. He told himself. He quickly got up, in his mind still worrying. Ever since Beetlenose was exiled, he was still doubting that she could be the murderer. Nobody as loyal as her could be! And now, as the deputy, he felt even more worried, thinking that he could be at risk. What is Goldenstar is killed? How will I be able to look after a clan with a possible traitor? The tom quickly exited the den, only to see cats gathering somewhere. And the scent of blood hit him. He instantly ran towards the crowd. "What's going o-" He was about to ask, but stopped in his tracks when he saw it.
Goldenstar's dead body. You're the leader now. You're the leader now. You're the leader now. A voice kept saying in his head, but he just stared down at the body. "I need to go get my nine lives.." He muttered, his head down. He tried to remain calm, but it was hard.

Stormclaw

Stormclaw caught herself feeling slightly suspicious of the small tom but felt stupid for even thinking that. Seeing him covered with blood didn't make him look the slightest bit insane or power hungry. He only looked like an innocent fuzzball to her.

Besides, there was no way he could be the killer. He was too small and too young. How could he assassinate Tornadostorm without her being able to defend herself? She felt terrible for the kit and couldn't even imagone what he was going through.

Finchkit gave a small purr and a thank you and padded over to his father.”Daddy, you’re leader now...” He gave a small purr and snuggled into Lionstrike’s fur his eyes wide and still filled with fear and sadness.

Daisykit blinked at Cutpaw and Daisyslip, tail flicking. Shaking with fear, she glanced at Finchkit. "Finchkit," she murmured, watching as her mom washed her friend's pelt. "Lionstrike," she murmured, dipping her head in respect. "Cutpaw can we play?" she asked, not wanting to think about what was going on.

Cutpaw

Cutpaw looked around at the chaos in the clan. It was hard to believe that everything could fall apart so quickly. A week ago he never would have thought anything could go wrong, but over the course of a few days they had lost two deputies, a leader, and a kit. His mentor and brother.

He was snapped out of his thought process by Daisykit asking him to play, and he nodded eagerly. If it would help take his mind off of everything, than he was up for it! "That sounds like a good idea. That way the warriors can figure out who did this." With that said, he began trotting over to the nursery, though he stayed close to Daisykit.

Lionstrike felt slightly comforted by his kit. "Y-Yes." He said, licking Finchkit's ears lightly. "I need to get my nine lives." He said. "Don't worry. It's going to be alright. How about you go play with one of the other kits or apprentices? O-Or Applestripes? I'm sure she can comfort you." He purred. "If anyone asks? I've gone to get my nine lives." He said, giving his kit one last loving lick. He knew this was wrong, but felt like there was no time to tell the clan that he was going to the moonpool (or moonstone?) now. "I'll be back, Finchkit." He said, giving his kit a reassuring smile. Then he was gone.

The queen watched Lionstrike go, hoping he'd have a safe journey to Moonstone and back. She then turned and watched as Cutpaw and Daisykit played, which calmed her down. Rather than sitting there, worried, she thought it'd be best to think of who could possibly be the killer.
