Nutmegkit had always admired Beetlenose. The hard-working she-cat had always striked inspiration in him, and he always enjoyed time spent with her. Beetlenose felt the same about the small tom, and she always felt like he was the kit she never had.
Goldenstar gave a deep sigh and hopped on to the high rock amd announced a clan meeting. “We must exile a member if this clan!” She yelled out. Accusations flew across the camp, and one cat shouted out, “Beetlenose! She killed Tornadostorm to become deputy! We all know how much she craved that position!” “Yeah!” Others agreed and began to rally around the poor frightened she-cat. “I’m innocent!”She yelped, “I swear!” The cats continued to push her out of camp and Goldenstar quietly announced that Beetlenose was exiled. “What!” A small voice squeaked out. Nutmegkit cinnamon pelt stood out as he stared at the others. “If she goes, I’m going too!” “Fine,” a cat snarled “Go be with the murderer, see if we care!” Nutmegkits family stared in shock as he slowly walked away with Beetlenose. They walked far far away from any of the clans territory and found a barn brimming with mice where they quietly spent the rest of their days.

Goldenstar’s eyes flashed awake. She couldn’t sleep and still felt panicked. They had exiled the murderer, right? Maybe some fresh air would make her feel better. She quietly walked out of her den, and sat quietly upon high-rock. A cat had been awake all night, staring out their den. As soon as Goldenstar had exited her den, the cat made their move. They quietly exited their den and slipped around the camp, somehow going unseen. The cat circled the camp, now behind Goldenstar. She flicked her tail out of camp and two rouges slithered out of the shadows. “Get her.” The murderer whispered. “What?” Goldenstar turned around, but too late. The rouges jumped on her, slashing anything they could get their claws on. Goldenstar lay there, dieing as the murderer walked over. They giggled and flashed a grin. “Why?” Goldenstar wheezed out. “Why not?” They replied, as the slunk back to their den.

The queen woke up, looking around the den to make sure her kits were both there. Letting out a sigh of relief, she found both, Lakekit and Icekit next to her. So Beetlenose really was the killer. Stormclaw thought with a sigh. Poor Nutmegkit left the Clan with a killer and his family didn't do a thing to stop him.

"Wake up, Lakekit and Icekit. It's time to eat." Stormclaw murmured to her kits, gently prodding them awake.

Daisykit shuffled in her nest, having trouble sleepi br without Nutmegkit beside her. Huffing, she gave up and blinked open her eyes, noticing Daisy slip was still asleep. Wonder if Dad is awake, she thought, getting to her paws carefully, noticing Stormclaw awake. "May I join you?" She asked Stormclaw.

"You may." Stormclaw told Daisykit. The queen stepped out of the nursery, then immediately caught scent of blood. "Uh, kits, why don't you find something to eat without me?" Stormclaw suggested, then followed the scent of blood. She was overflowed with the smell of death then saw her leader's corpse near the entrance of camp.

"N-no.... NO!" Stormclaw exclaimed, in disbelief. She backed away from Goldenstar's dead body, horrified by what she saw. The killer was still in ThunderClan's camp and had been accompanied by two rogues, from the smell of it.
