lionstrike:

lionstrike woke up, his eyes scanning the warrior's den as he sat up, stretching. he looked at all the other warriors, still sleeping peacefully in their nests. his tail swished as he noticed that someone was missing - rabbitfur.. he's probably outside already, lionstrike thought calmly, not getting too worried. he quickly walked outside, wanting to look what was going on around camp,
and if anyone else was awake yet.

Gempaw

The apprentice woke early, hoping to get the chance to watch the sunrise before Spiritwish woke up and she had to get to training. Walking outside and pausing momentarily to groom her messy fur, Gempaw took a look up at the sky, only to be disappointed in the fact that she had missed said sunrise. Sighing softly, she padded over to the fresh kill pile, taking out a smallish bird and briefly pretending to stalk it. After playing with the fresh kill for a moment, the tabby took a bite of the bird, feeling satisfied with her "accomplishment".

Spiritwish practically flew out of the warriors den, gliding on light paws across the clearing. She was planning to take Gempaw out hunting, which is something she always enjoyed doing.
"Gempaw! Hunting!" She called, watching the apprentice grab some prey.
Something isn't right... She had an uneasy feeling, but pushed it off.

Badgerface:

"Hush, little one." Badgerface said gently, giving his ear another gentle lick. "And stop annoying your sister. She is still sleeping." She said, looking down at Frostedkit. Carefully, she unwrapped herself from her kits and stood up, taking a minute to stretch her legs. The tired limbs cracked and she felt relief. "Come along, Coldkit." She meowed as she approached the mouth of the den. "We can get something to eat while Frostedkit is still asleep."

Gempaw

Gempaw had just finished eating when she heard Spiritwish call her over for hunting. She hadn't washed her face quite yet, but she figured there wasn't much of a point if it was gonna get dirty from hunting again anyways. She looked at her mentor and with a chirp stated, "I'm coming!" As she padded over she added on, "I was already ready, don't you see? I was practicing and everything!" That wasn't totally true, she certainly hadn't expected Spiritwish to call her so early, but it didn't hurt to make herself look good.

"I'm sure you were! Now, does hunting by the lake sound good?" She flicked her bushy tail, trying to hide her excitement. She always liked letting her apprentice have a say in her training. When she said lake, though, she felt a shadow of dread pass over her. Whats wrong with me? She shook her head, clearing her mind.

Tornadostorm yawned, and stretched as she made her way out of the warriors den. Scanning the camp, she realized some of her warriors were awake before her. Her eyes grew wide, how had she overslept? She was supposed to assign patrols, and help the dawn patrols get themselves together, as she always did. Her fur spiked, realizing they had left without being told where to go! She huffed. Reminding herself that the leaders of the patrols were capable cats, and fully able to decide where to go among themselves. Still, she walked with her head down a little, as she scoured the dens to make sure everyone going on patrols, or training today was awake. As she did, she realized that Yewpaw, and Rabbitfur weren't in their dens. And their nests were already getting old. She hadn't assinged them to any early patrols today, where were they? A bad feeling crept over the black furred deputy, although she tried to push it down. She turned from the apprentice's den where she stood, and called to those awake in the clearing; "Have any of you seen Yewpaw or Rabbitfur? They aren't in their dens, and their nests are cold." "did I assign them to a dawn patrol and forget?"

She scoured her clanmates expressions hopefully.

"The lake sounds good to me! The water is nice to watch, and maybe we can even catch some birds while they're drinking," The tabby confirmed, along with partially thinking out loud. Perking her ears once again at the sound of a new voice, Gempaw listened to what their deputy had to say, before shaking her head. "I haven't seen either of them. Sorry,"

Woodenheart

Woodenheart just woke up and headed towards the fresh-kill pile. She looked through the selections of prey she had. Two voles, a mouse, and a bird. She looked over to the nursery then back at the small pile. Yeah, I think it's best if I go get something. She thought to herself, then called over to the deputy, "Hello, Tornadostorm! I'd like to go on a hunting patrol, are there any I can join?"

Spiritwish glanced over her shoulder.
"Hey Woodenheart! Care to join me and Gempaw by the lake?" The thought of having another warrior with her made her feel at least a bit better, but she still couldn't shake the feeling of dread. She caught Tornadostorm's question a bit late as Gempaw answered, and shook her head.
"I haven't seen them either, but we'll keep a lookout!"
