"maybe that could happen," she replied to his statements and cocked her head to one side, pondering all of this to herself. what if they ran away together? but no, that couldn't happen because they both had medicine cat apprentice duties. besides, perhaps something would happen now that skystar and streamstar were supposedly having feelings for each other.

blossompaw stuck out her tongue in indignation. "hey! cheater!" she rolled her eyes, bunching her muscles and springing forward to the same branch as littlepaw. "yeah, you could shove the enemy off," she prodded littlepaw with her tail as if to demonstrate. "broken bones would be an effective way to get them to retreat," she shrugged playfully.

gorsewhisker laughed, voice carrying on the wind. "i love how only i know where we're going, but you still manage to run faster than me!" he joked, nudging her gently as they raced through the forest. soon, they reached the bottom of what looked like a cliff, and gorsewhisker ran along the side of it, before they reached a cave. "follow me, and mind your step, the water leaks cause puddles sometimes," he gestured with his tail. gorsewhisker padded through the entrance, stepping over the puddles and taking a right turn before they reached a small waterfall. "i found this place when i was an apprentice and got lost after a patrol." his ears reddened. "uh, after i intentionally got lost, that is," he tried and failed to cover up the fact that he had gotten lost in the forest he'd grown up in.
