The lithe brown and white she-cat crouched in the brush, her violet eyes locked on a squirrel who was nibbling an acorn in the clearing before her. Her cream-tipped brown tail flicked slowly back and forth, and her cream-tipped ear swiveled back and forth. The notch in the left one quivered, and then she shot out of the brush. She had been both blessed and cursed, once with little physical strength, and immense speed to make up for it. She caught the squirrel between her front paws and bit into the neck. She felt the bones crunch and the squirrel went limp, dropping the acorn it had been nibbling on.
