She meowed in agreement, "It's worth it, spending all this time in the nursery I mean." The she-cat explained. She looked down at Adderkit, she had the same coat color as her true father Tiger. It comforted her knowing that Tiger was here, in his kits.

Gorsekit stretched his jaw in a yawn as he looked up at his mother. His eyes weren't open, although he could tell that she was there. He stood up, his legs shaking. "W-when will I open my eyes?"

[Esther~]

Echobreeze narrowed her eyes, then looked at Silverwhisper. Something here seemed off. Silverwhisper and Mosspelt had never gotten along much, even though her brother did love Silverwhisper, then all of a sudden she was expecting his kits. Mosspelt had told her that there was something he needed to tell her and now this kit looked different then both parents."Theres something off here. You and Mosspelt were never close until you were expecting kits. Whats going on?"she whispered before hearing Gorsekit. His mother should be the one to talk to him, so she didn't say anything.

"They will open soon, you can try but I can't promise it will work." She purred licking her son. She was sure his eyes would open soon enough, but she didn't want to rush him, he would do it in his own time. She drew him closer with one forepaw curling her tail over all her kits. She looked up at Echobreeze her eyes wide, "I-I have no idea what you're talking about Exchobreeze, Mosspelt and I are mates,
we- we love each other." She knew she should tell Echobreeze the truth but what if she got thrown out of the clan? What would become of her kits?

[hummxs]

Gorsekit nodded. "O-okay." He sat back down, trying to pry open his eyelids but failing. I'll open them when I'm ready...

[Esther~]

"Don't lie to me."Echobreeze gave a small shake of her head."You and my brother never hung out and all of a sudden you were expecting his kits? I know that somethings wrong here."she looked at the kits, her gaze fixed on the one that looked different then both parents."You left camp a lot in the past, usually coming back after a long time. This kit doesn't look like either parent."she returned her gaze to Silverwhisper."Mosspelt isn't the father, or am I somehow wrong?"

She smiled down at her kit, "Don't force yourself dear, it will happen in time." She promised looking down at the small bundle beside her. She loved him more that she could ever explain.These were her kits and she would do anything to protect them. When she herd Echobreeze she hung her head in shame. "Everyone must have noticed, I-I never knew I was expecting his kits until it was too late.
I thought we could just be friends over the border but I loved him." She looked up at Echobreeze her blue eyes like chips of ice.
"Are you going to tell the rest of the clan?"

[Esther~]

At first Echobreeze was mad. Why hadn't her brother told her this earlier? That wasn't even the worst of it though. Mosspelt loved Silverwhisper and he had to throw away his chances of getting a loving mate just to father another tom's kits. She was temped to tell the clan, but her brother wouldn't be pleased if she did."I wont tell the clan. These kits did nothing wrong."she spoke at last, being a bit uneasy as she spoke."You should have known that being friends with outsiders usually leads to things like this."she gave a small shake of her head."Whats going to happen when Mosspelt falls in love with a nice she-cat? Is he going to throw that away just to father these kits?"

She glared up at Echobreeze, "I didn't mean for this to happen Echobreeze, how was I supposed to know. Also when they get a bit older I will tell the clan." She growled, "Tiger would be proud of his children, and I know that I could convince him to join the clan." She licked each of her kits again, then lowered her voice so only Echobreeze could hear her, "I may have made a mistake but I will protect these kits with my life, why should their bloodline matter? It's not like their father was from another clan, or a kittypet."

[Esther~]

Echobreeze looked at the kits."I have no hard feelings against you or these kits. I know mistakes happen and I don't want us to ruin a good friendship over this. I may not agree with what you've done, but I will respect your decisions. You choose your own path and that is up to you. I just wish that this could end well, but im not sure how this will go. Hopefully the clan will accept your choices and go on. If they decide to get hostile then I will have your back, no doubts about it, but I only wished I had known this earlier. Mosspelt is my brother afterall and I needed to know that this is not my kin, but as I said, I have no hard feelings against you."
