FrostCloud let out a soft breath as she watched her kits. The queen flicked her tail and stroked it over HazelKit's back - the youngest kit who had not yet made a large gesture - then wrapped it around WeaselKit and gently pulled him closer into her belly. She let out a weak chuckle as TigerKit mewled sweetly and scrabbled towards her, her sleek silver fur shimmering in the sunlight.

ThawKit let out another squeak as he felt WeaselKit land on his tail as his brother scrabbled and scratched. The tom-kit began to press at FrostCloud's belly with soft pink paws before leaning down and curling up to warm himself.

FernKit was woken again when she heard her sibling's squealing and mewling.

Flickerpaw didn't know what was going on, just a bit startled, not sure if he should be happy or frightened. He stepped forward.

Sandstar stepped closer to Flickerpaw, repeating the words spoken by leaders long before he was born. "Do you, Flickerpaw, promise to follow the warrior code, and to protect the Clan at all times, even at the cost of your life?"
