dustfang settled down infront of the nursery to listen to the clan meeting, his normaly sitting postion taking form right away [tail wrapped around paws]. he looked as attentive as always, his large body creating a sense of pride in the tom.

Sleepywhisker opens his jaws,scenting the air.He soon picked up the faint scent of rabbit.Crouchung down he begins to move forward,his eyes scanning the area for any sign of the rodent.Spotting it's brown fluffy tail,he stalks towards it,getting a tail length away before poucing,but as it turns out,the rabbit had scented him and just dashed away as Sleepywhisker moved to catch it.

Cloudsong felt a flare of anger. She didnt even interact with Bluefeather and more cats got assigned mates. But she liked clan life.

Roseblossom's head popped up in excitement as Desertstar called her name from atop the celestial ledge. She looked around for Sootfur her newly pronounced assigned mate, but couldn't find him amongst the cats gathered. Maybe he's not at the camp? she wondered, right when she noticed him. He was pretty handsome, but sadly it wasn't the same feeling as she had hoped it would be. She thought that it would be like love at first sight, but it was nothing like that.

He huffed as his name was called, and looked around to find the cat by the name of Fatespeaker. Ah, who am I kidding? I barely know any of these cats names and I don't recognise this one... why am I even looking? he asked himself, continuing to survey the group of cats in the camp despite his thoughts.

Hawktalon....well, she supposed that wasn't a terrible pick, no. But would the tom agree to it? She has seen how some of the...assigned mates...had gotten along before. Despite herself she felt rather paniced -- though her outward countenance revealed nothing. Instead, she broadened her shoulders and lifts her head, ignoring the quiet whispering around her. She would bare his kits, and that would be all. Nothing else was expected of her, anyways.

Sunpaw nodded. "Okay," He secretly wanted to spend more time with lavenderpaw, and so then he added, "I'd like that." He was a bit embarrassed and kind of wished he had not said the last part. The more he thought about the future, and wondering if lavenderpaw was a part of his future, it made his head hurt. He started walking towards the other side of the territory.

Swiftleap perked up a little at the mention of his brother. He looked at Briarheart before he looked over at Hawktalon who was still curled up at the side of camp. He frowned, Hawktalon either didn't hear or blatantly didn't care as he made no move to go talk to Briarheart or even be apart of the meeting.

Hawktalon looked away from Joltheart and set his head on his paws. He listened quietly to the meeting his ear barely twitching when he heard his name called. Oh joy another person to ignore you just like the last one! He thought bitterly before he looked towards the elder's den. She wouldn't ignore you but you'll never get her. And you'll never get to tell her you like her anyways. he sighed softly and looked at the ground. He felt so unwanted here.. If Hiddenstorm was gone.. What would he have left? He could disappear from this Clan and maybe Swiftleap would care but that would be about it. No one would bother looking because no one would care. No one except.. her.. And now he was going to lose her just like his sister Reedpaw..

Rainypaw listened quietly to the meeting faintly wondering when she became a warrior who her mate would be.. Probably another current apprentice.. But she didn't really want that so maybe becoming a warrior wasn't all it was cracked up to be? She didn't really think it was possible for her to fall inlove. She liked everyone pretty equally.. Maybe some a bit more than others but never like that..

Frostpetal giggled as she raced ahead and into the camp with her apprentice. Skidding to a stop she panted a bit winded by it and then laughed. "It's always good exercise to run." she said with a nod. "Keeps you ready to run at a moment's notice. We should hold clan wide races! Imagine the suspense! The Drama!" she purred excitedly.

Embergaze stood up slowly while they were all distracted and made her way out of camp. Just a little bit, just enough for some fresh air before she sat down and tried to stifle another cough. She closed her eyes and sighed as she tried to picture what it would be like if traditions weren't like this.. If she and Frozennight could just be open and be together.. How much fun they could have had.. They could have put their nests closer together.. They could lead patrols together.. Opening her eyes she was forced back into reality. Where she could have none of that, just the occasional walk when no one was looking. And now she was too sick to even do that..
