Fear was exploding in her mind as she realised that she was growling at the kit; but in this situation, she would get shouted at for letting the kit swim or getting sick. "Just go to the medicine den," She repeated sternly.

The warrior sighed. "We'll go and show him your catch then," She paused quickly, thinking of something else to say, "If you promise to see the medicine cat after. Okay?" She licked his shoulder fur flat and cleaned his whiskers, she was making him presentable for his father.
