He could tell she was nervous, and he stepped back as well, lowering his head. " Well don't worry, believe it or not, I would never hurt you. " Helios said softly.

Shade turned his head, his forelock falling away to reveal pale blue sightless eyes. the colt smiled, blissfuly unaware of the devestating shock. "daddy?" he asked nossing the bay stallion, and drank in his scent. the stallion smelled like fear, along with his mother curled beside him, "momma? daddy? whats wrong?" he glanced at both, he could see them around him. they looked to be made of bright stars outlining the shapes of horses against a black canvas.

((ok, he can see outlines of living things and they look like they are made of stars. and yes Thunder can see Shade soon enough))

kasey sees thunder and trots toward him and said ''hey'' in a calm voice

"Nothing, my son. You will learn, soon enough." Wind murmured, forcing himself to relax for his new son's sake. "Welcome to the world, Shade." He murmured, nudging him again affectionately.

( This will make Wind even more fierce and protective! xD )

Star made a small, nickering sound, thankful to have someone being nice to her for a change. "thank you." She murmured.

He raised his head, and his eyes widened when he saw her. " Kasey my love! " The silver stallion shouted, moving closer to her and putting his head over hers in a hug. She'd been gone much too long...

Rose grinned and looked down at the little foal. Hers kicked and shifted, and she nipped at her stomach. " Hush now, not today hun. " She said softly, before looking back to Wind, Feather, and Shade.

He smiled and raised his head slightly, then side-stepped. " Would you like to rest up for a little while? " Helios asked, flicking his tail softly.

Shade nodded, and pulled his gangley legs from underneath him planting each front leg tentitvely. he wobbled for a moment on shakey legs them managed to alight himself and standup straight, as he looked around him. he could make out the forms of his mother standing up beside him and pressing her shoulder against him to steady the colt, his father looking down at him, another mare laying down a couple lenghts away (rose), and a mare with a stocky build sending off waves of uncomfort while the others weathed him in emotions of joy.

Feather glanced at Wind, trying to read his face. "how will he manage?" she asked low enough for only her and her stallion to hear the worried question.

Flurry stood slightly away from Wind's herd, feeling out of place and uncomfortable around the mares and newborn colt. the shock of Shade being born blind was great, but she had heard tales of foals born blind and eventualy gaining sight; she hopped that for this foal. "Congratulations on the foal, Wind and Feather may he live a long and prosperous life" she said raisng her voice slightly to be heard before she cantered off back to Thunder and his mares; without another word.

Valley stopped scenting horses, "finally" she breathed "mabey i will be more welcome here" she added to herself, the kickmarks on her thigh stinging as she thought of the dark bay stallion that had chased the young mare away from his herd. she flicked her ears ridding the thought from her mind, as she galloped down to the group of mares and dapple stallion with a wild whinny.

Dreamer watched the sky paint pink with tints of sunset mabey a nap will do me good until midnight she thought as a yawn wracked her yearling body before sleep took her into unimaginable realms.

Souix wakes up from her sleep. Looking around she yawns. She slowly gets up. He stomach seemed seemed larger ( ) than usual. She walks out of the cave, she eneters the valley & starts to graze.

Thunder sighed heavily and stepped back. " Many have left me... I was worried I'd lost you too. He said, nudging her shoulder.

He whinnied loudly, frustrated that the sun still hadn't set. He laid down, his thoughts filled with the lovely Dreamer.
