Swanflower had watched as Dawnstar headed for the medicine cat den in a rushed fashion. She had been inside the den for a while now and the queen couldn't help but be worried. "I'm going to to check on something. Goodbye, Minnowtail." She meowed quickly as she stood. It took her only a few heartbeats to be standing near the den but she didn't go inside. She respected Dawnstar's privacy enough to not go barging in but from where she stood she could hear most of what was being said inside.

Daisyfang returned to camp with a frown on his face, still mildly upset about being left behind by Nettletuft and Duskfrost as well as upset with himself for being unable to catch any prey.

Mothtail picked up Rainkit with the utmost care and gentleness, already looking hopeless himself. He carried the kit off to a corner of the den, trying everything he could think of to get him back. Near silent cursing showed that nothing had worked. Not wanting to move, he waited another moment, just waiting.

"I don't know why ya like frogs," Poppypaw plopped down next to him again, "But I guess to each their own, huh? Do they taste good?"

Swanflower slowly entered the den and approached Dawnstar. "Oh Dawnstar they are beautiful." She purred at the sight of the leader's kits. She didn't notice that the one wasn't showing any sign of life.

Lilyflower gave a small shrug of his shoulders. "I like them. Not everyone does though. They are easy to catch and come out during the night. I suppose I got used to them since most other prey is sleeping by the time I can leave camp."

"No." Daisyfang said, finding no use in lying, "I wasn't able to catch anything." He also didn't find any use in complaining about the other members of his patrol since it was his own fault for wandering off in the first place.
