We all slept

Soul was awake since he had slept before them all and watched them sleep.

Mocha raced after Kira and found a dead cat. His eyes were confused as he came to Kira. "Kira, what happened?" he barked racing to her side and looking at the blood on her paws and mouth.

Kira flicked her ears. 'I went for a stroll!' She glared at Mocha, 'What does it look like just happened?' She snapped her fur bristling as she turned to slip into the river, the clear, clean water turning a rusty red colour as the blood was washed from her paws. She dunked her head under and pulled it back up and shook her head, sending droplets everywhere.

Mocha flattened his ears. "Fine!" he growled and turned and raced away. He ran past the house and growled. He looked behind him at the house in the distance, he howled sadly and walked on.........finally he layed down panting and thought of Kira.

Kira's eyes widened as she realised what she had done. She jumped out of the river and headed in the direction that Mocha went but decided that he wouldn't want to talk to her. She whinned and howled sorrowfully and padded pack to the house walking in ansd leaving the door open. If he wanted to come back he would know where to find her.

Mocha heard a howl in the distance and growled. She doesn't care about me. She just let me stay because I can hunt extra food and if someone attacks she think I will be there to save her. He let out a laugh then sighed. To think I loved her.. He looked down at his paws.

Kira sighed as tears rolled from her eyes. She paced around and glanced at the broken window and flicked her ears. She pulled the door shut and headed back to the kitchen and jumped onto the sink before leaping out, the shapr shards of broken glass scraping at her belly. She decided to find Mocha and apolagise, if he didn't accept her appology then she was simply a fool to trust him and she would know never to trust anyone else. Maybe she was just ment to live this life alone?

Mocha started to cry. He shook his head and looked up to see a figure walking toward him. He sniffed the air and smelt Kira. He watched her and let out a small growl.

Kira paused, was Mocha crying? She flattened her ears at his growl and sat down, a small pool of blood forming around her from her stomach. She dipped her head submissively. 'Mocha, I-I'm sorry. It was just-' She cut herself off and closed her eyes tightly, she had never talked to anyone about her past to anyone before. 'That black cat just reminds me of Demi, she died when I chased one out into the road.' She didn't open her eyes but tears were slowly dribbling out, her voice was paining as she spoke about it. 'I got so angry and upset when I saw it. I know you hate me now but I just want you to knnow that I want you to come home .' Her voice was cracking as she spoke between sobs. 'I also want you to know that I-I-' She took a deep breath and glanced up at Mocha with blurry vision because of the tears. 'I want you to know that I think I've fallen in love with you.' She whispered and turned away sadly. Her heart broke knowing that Mocha wouldn't follow her back as she began walking slowly away, her paws barely leaving the ground, just dragging in the drops of blood as they dripped from her stomach.
