Dapple blushed and looked down. "mum said she chose Dawn's and dad chose mine." he said. "she said that because Dawn looked exactly like the sun at dawn. And that I had really cute dapple colors over me when I was born."

Silvertail smiled, "That is beautiful. When I was young I wanted kits, but my destiny was with herbs."

Dapple tilted his head. "can't you have kits anymore?" he asked.

Silvertail shook her head, "Medicine cat's can't have kits. Then I got no one to love either."

Dapple frowned. "can't you or are you not allowed?"

Silvertail nodded, "I am not allowed to have kits cause I am the medicine cat and I need to take care of others and not young ones..." She sighed and then smiled, "but I couldn't be happier."

Dapple nodded, but still found it strange to stop cats from having kits. "And the leader? Isn't he supposed to take care of the whole clan? Is he allowed to have kits?" he asked.

"When the leader is a tom with a mate then yes cause then he doesn't have to take care of them." Silvertail looked slightly away and then smiled a little.

"what if it's a girl?" Dapple asked.
