Tera waited until the whole house was dark and quite before she made her escape. She had planned this all day and was quickly revising it in her head. Okay. Time for action. She packed her left-over carrots and pellet onto her small satchel that she has kept hidden from her owners under the hay they never cleaned out. She took a last drink from her water bottle propped up on the wall and got to work. Phase one. She used one paw to skilfully lift one of the pushy things on the door of her cage. With her other paw she un-did a lock near the top of her cage, pushing with both paws she eased the door open. Out. Okay. Phase two. She slid carefully down a ruler propped up to the side of the table and onto a box. Okay. About half a metre to the floor. She jumped down onto a smaller box next to the one she was on. She then skittered down a un-intetional set of stairs made of nail boxes. On the ground, in the shed. Good. Phase three. Tera scampered across the shed floor to a small box of old things, as she began to climb up it to continue the stairs of boxes she noticed a good small pice of string. Tera leant down a picked it up in her paws. Nice. She slipped it into her satchel and looked more into the box of old things. She found another good piece of string and took that too, she looked some more. Near the bottom she found a tiny-weenie notepad (probably an old dolls toy) and a tiny-weenie pen. They were fully functional and would probably prove useful so she took them. SHe finished climbing up the stairs of boxes and sat up on a high windowsill. Okay, so far so good. Phase four. She eased the window open ever so quietly and skittered out onto a high tree branch. As she jumped down from tree branch to tree branch to get to the bottom she picked a few berries and put them into her satchel. AHA! She made it. Out... Free... Finally...
A few days of wandering the streets in the shadows drained all the food from her satchel and lead her to the edge of a dense, ferny forest. She could smell enticing aromas of berries, nuts, herbs, fruits and vegetable coming from deep within the forest. Aw well. She thought. I've run away from home, used up all my food and have wandered the streets for days. This forest could mean me living a few more days. Step by cautious step. Tera walked towards the inviting forest. After a few minutes she disappeared behind the brambles and ferns. Soon to find the tribe of Nahu.
