Cookie burst out of her housefolk's den, being closely followed by Smokie. The twoleg was finally letting them out! She had a large smile on her face, feeling the new snow crunch under her paws. "Come on!" She said to her brother, jumping onto the relatively short fence with small difficulty before arriving next to the forest. Smokie followed suit, landed next to his sister. "Everything looks so beautiful." He said in awe, watching as a piece of snow fell off from a branch of an oak tree. Cookie laughed in response. "Duh!" She ran over to a mound of soft snow, jumping in one side before appearing on the other. Her fluffy cinnamon-colored fur was dappled with little white flakes. She sneezed, another laugh coming from her throat. "This is absolutely awesome.. I really hope the twoleg doesn't call us in until sundown."
The two kittypets ran into the forest, loving the feel of cold snow beneath their fluffy paws. Smokie stopped when he saw a brown creature not moving in the snow. "What's that?" He asked Cookie, walking up to it. Cookie followed, then poked the thing. It rolled over and revealed it was a mouse, seemingly dead from sickness or the cold. Smokie bent down to take a bite - he liked mouse - when Cookie pushed him away. "Don't, it might have something in it. There's no visible sign of death." She flicked some snow on it.

Turtleheart flicked her tail. She loved leaf-bare, and she was lucky she had a thick coat to keep her warm. She usually saw short-haired cats shivering in their skins, which was bad for their health. They had a higher risk of getting sick! She glanced at the apprentice den, then the warrior's den. I should probably go hunt. She thought, her gaze sweeping to the exit of camp.| Cookie and Smokie - Molly and Tom - Fifteen moons - in the forest - open |
