"Good good. Hey Ryewhisker if you had a choice would you prefer hunting or going on a border patrol?" the deputy asked. She knew the warrior was well trained and trusted him to lead a patrol. Lightstep looked around camp a bit before returning her gaze back to Ryewhisker.

Swiftshadow wasn't use to all this attention his tail slightly began to twitch. He was a bit uncomfortable, however the sleek black tom held it together. He noticed Wolfpaw come up and great his mentor Goldensky along with Petalfall leaving to find Poppypaw. Swiftshadow looked down at his apprentice, heat rating from his pelt. "Ah... yes for some reason every cat seams to be coming up to me." he whispered to his apprentice.

The young tabby tom padded out behind Maplepaw, following the other apprentice to the freshkill pile. He glanced over the prey, his belly rumbling here and there. "I could eat. Pick something out. We can share." Breezepaw purred a bit.

"I'm fantastic!" the gray blue apprentice purred. Bluepaw was always happy, almost never in a bad mood. "How are you on this fine day?" she asked in her chipper happy tone.

When he was sure that Lightstep was orginising the patrols, he sighed with relief. He was blad that he did have a suck loyal deouty as Lightstep on his side. Knows that she will take care of the clan, when he is not abble to do so anylonger. Padding back to the medicine cat "All clear, Lets go" he meowed to the white she-cat.

"Well..." Petalfall turned to look at her apprentice, who was chatting away with Lightpaw. "Bluepaw looks busy right now, so I guess it wouldn't hurt to go out for a bit. Sure!" Having finished her mouse, she stood up and stretched her legs. "Ready when you are!"

"Hunting," Ryewhisker replied without hesitation. "I was just about to go see if Sunpaw is awake. If you want, I could take her with me."

Adderpaw just smiled at Goldensky, as if to say, "You're welcome." Turning to his mentor, he teased, "It must be your demeanor. She-cats love the strong, silent type...or so I've heard." He licked a paw and drew it over his face. "In my case, I just want to start training."

She settled down beside the fresh-kill pile and groomed herself, sighing softly. Unsure of what to do, she simply groomed herself until her pelt was silky and gleamed underneath the sun.

Goldensky had stood there, trying to get a word in the argument and had been annoyed enough to start screaming when Adderpaw had come over. "thank you" she whispered to the little apprentice. Then she turned to her own. "alright. Have you finished squabbling now? Then maybe we can go train!" she said, a little grumpy, although she knew it wouldn't last long. She always forgave cats quickly.

Fawnsong

Fawnsong's eyes darkened in grief for the kitten. "Don't worry," she murmured soothingly, bending down and gently licking the young she-kit's head. "I can bring you somewhere safe, and if your mother comes, she's welcome to stay too." Fawnsong had a strong suspicion that the kit's mother wouldn't be returning for her.

Quietpaw left the medicine den, and headed for the fresh-kill pile. Cats generally didn't befriend her or speak to her much, so she was usually left to her own devices. Admittedly, her shy and quiet personality probably didn't help her limited friendships. Although, any cat who bothered to interact her would be meeting a kind and sympathetic young she-cat, not that everyone tried.
