The black she-cat was awoken from sleep, flicking her ear as she stirred in her nest. Oddblaze let out a yawn and stretched her limbs, arching her back as she stood up and made her way out of the warriors' den. The warrior sighed, lashing her tail. It'd been a rough night, for Oddblaze couldn't slept well due to some.. memories from the past. She shook her head, trying to "shake off" the sleep from her face. With tired eyes, the black she-cat gazed at the camp, until she spotted Cardinalpaw, her apprentice, at the fresh-kill pile. The warrior trotted towards the ginger she-cat, managing to look content- except she wasn't.

Beesting was padding along the shore of a small body of water located among the sands of Coralclan's hunting grounds, scanning the area for any signs of prey. It was dawn, which gave the tom a good feeling that he was going to bring some fresh-kill for the clan.
A flash of grey-and-white feathers from the corner of his eyes caught his attention. The tortoiseshell tom flicked his bobbed tail as he turned to see a flock of seagulls in the distance. Narrowing his golden eyes, Beesting made his way towards the flock, trotting quickly yet silently among the sand. A group of seagulls began to stray away from the tom, and a jolt of alarm struck him. The warrior picked up the pace, the birds leaving him no choice but to run towards them. Running across the beach at full speed, Beesting was chasing down one of the grey-and-white birds as it tried to fly off. Some of the birds were already flapping away from the scene. Growling, the tortoiseshell warrior took a flying leap at the closest seagull, his claws managing to hook into its feathery body. The hunt was over within a matter of several heartbeats. Now the tom was holding his catch of the day with an exhausted frame.

The sun soaked Downypaw's black-and-white pelt as he sat in the patch of sun, watching his clanmates go by. The young tom anxiously shifted his paws, his fur slightly spiked up. The cats of Coralclan were new to him, along with their ways and so forth. He didn't know what to do, except try his best whenever it came to training. The apprentice couldn't remember a thing when he was found. Lost in his thoughts, Downypaw suppressed a shudder, until he heard a voice pipe up next to him. His green eyes widened in alarm and quickly stood up on his paws with his pelt fluffed out. However, he forced his pelt to lie flat and tried to remain calm when he realized it was only Wolfpaw. "H-Hello, Wolfpaw. How are you?" Downypaw secretly hoped that his new clanmates would see him as a friendly cat, so he tried to act friendly. But when surrounded by strangers, it was hard to do so.

Blue eyes blinked against the sunlight, tail flicking and paws twitching. The young she-cat was waiting beside the apprentices den, searching for her mentor with a clear gaze. Nacrepaw sighed, and daintily raised a paw and lapped at it, then drew it over her ear. She was aware that she wasn't clan-born, but she was also aware that she was making good progress.
Nacrepaw wondered why her father even bothered to have kits with a kittypet. She'd been told countless times that such act would mean breaking the warrior code- so why do it? The pale brown tabby-and-white apprentice remembered her father's reply from many moons ago. It was because of love. The answer had baffled her- even to this day. Now the she-cat wondered about her siblings. Do I have any? Ah, it doesn't matter.. I've got a clan. Is that better than having any siblings? Suddenly, a prick of impatience clawed through her. And where's Riverwing?
