Coyotestar waited tensly for her reply. Was she going to confirm his thoughts? All of a sudden, she let out a pain gasp and the tom jumped up, worried. As she requested the medicine cat, he ran out, calling for Minnowreed worriedly. Hearing no reply, he dashed to the medicine cat den, finding only Hailpaw "I think Nightflower's kitting! Get your supplies, I'll try and find Minnowreed," He panted. The tom dashed out, looked for Minnowreed and, since no one had seen him, ran back to Nightflower. "Hailpaw's coming. I don't know where Minnowreed is."

Squirrelfur sighed, before quickly attacking a queen's nest, tearing out all the old moss. She replaced all the moss with the new moss and then went on to do another nest, until they were all done.

Loganfrost nodded, he wasn't feeling great today so even one rabbit would be hard for him to catch today.

Fallowstream glanced over at Bumblepaw's awkward stance and gave a small nod. It was the best he could do. Not wanting to lose the prey, she pounced on the mouse and killed it, but left it in position for Bumblepaw. "Go on, get it" She mewed enthusiastically.

Hailpaw quickly got some borage and raspberry leaves in her mouth and ran over to the nursery. Seeing the queen in pain, she quickly gave her a raspberry leaf to ease the pain.

Nightflower was relieved to see Coyotestar return, assuming the medicine cat would be just behind. When she heard that only Hailpaw was coming though she frowned and shook her head. "Hailpaw isn't a medicine cat! She's too young she doesn't know-" Her words were cut off by another wave of pain that caused the queen to clamp her jaw shut and grit her teeth. Pain and worry was clouding her mind and making her making her panic which led her to doubt the apprentice's abilities.

Bumblepaw

Bumblepaw stared intently at the now dead mouse not too far away. He wanted to get this right so he was trying to remember everything Fallowstream had done so that he could copy it. After a few short heartbeats of silence he sprang forward. Apparently the tom had misjudged the distance a bit since he landed just behind the prey instead of on top of it. He quickly slapped at the body afterwords, temporarily forgetting that he was supposed to be practicing and the mouse wasn't some plaything.

Coyotestar spoke in a claming tone, even though he was nowhere near calm. "I know she's only an apprentice. Minnowreed is nowhere to be found, and Hailpaw has helped him with a kitting before" He was dashed out side for a moment and grabbed a stick got the queen to bite on.

Nightflower shook her head but was too overwhelmed with pain to argue any longer. She ate what Hailpaw had given her and took the stick in her jaws without needing further prompting. (fade to black)

WebClan's deputy watched his apprentice complete her task, purring with content. "Well done." He suddenly turned his head when he heard Nightflower cry out, and motioned with his tail for his apprentice to leave. "Alright, let's hunt." he grunted as they padded out of the camp and into the forest.

Blackfur - Tags: Squirrelpaw

"Oh really?" Blackfur said, with a hint of a challenge in his voice. He paused when he heard the rustle of a thrush flapping it's wings, turning to face the tree it was in. He motioned with his tail for Squirrelpaw to silently step forward and watch, as he was about to use an important technique. He slowly tip-toed to the trunk of the tree and hooked his claws into the squishy bark. He carefully climbed up to the branch above where the bird nested and crouched there silently for a few heartbeats. He suddenly leaped down directly onto the bird, it barely giving so much as a surprised 'Caw' before dying. Blackfur lost his balance from the quick landing and started slipping off the branch, but was able to scrabble back up and regain balance.

Tiny kit- the young kit wondered around the camp she had been brought into. Tinykit was unsure of what was going on or who everyone was. She got near a den and saw an older cat with her kits. Tiny kit was confused as to why the baby ones weren't moving, she decided to stay outside and watch on.
