xxxgreystar is a charming, intelligent cat who values strategy and planning. he looks down on foolhardy apprentices and headstrong young warriors - they should learn the ropes from their betters, in his opinion. born and raised a proud warrior of woodclan, greystar has immense pride for his clan and all that they have accomplished, and therefore values those of his clan much more than those from outside of it. that being said, he won't treat outsiders differently unless they try anything - naturally skeptical of other cats' motives, it's rare he'll allow any outsiders into camp, period.

towards his own clanmates, greystar is extremely cordial and makes an effort to help them with any problems they may have, be it sending someone out to fetch more mouse-bile for the elders' ticks, or hunting for a queen's favorite piece of prey. this has earned him a bit of a reputation as a helpful sort, and he normally spends every second of every day trying to make life better for his clan.

however, once night falls, he retreats to his den to go over the day's events with his deputy. rarely does the esteemed leader of woodclan share tongues at the fresh-kill pile. he seems lonely, sometimes, during the few moments of quiet he finds himself in; as if his heart isn't filled to the brim with his clan.

xxxthere isn't much to tell. he was the eldest kit born to redscar and stonepelt, and was doted on by both parents. as an apprentice, he studied under a warrior called swiftstep - she taught him restraint in action and the importance of a clear head in battle, and eventually became his idol, of sorts. shortly after he became a warrior, a skirmish with rogues along the border left swifstep dead. the young warrior vowed to honor her memory, and threw himself into his warrior duties. he mentored two apprentices in quick succession, and was named deputy, and then leader.

heronpaw is an interesting cat, mostly because he is equally cold and warm, content and troubled, flawed
and flawless. to most cats, he is seen as a quiet, shy apprentice who can get easily angered and isn't afraid
to show it. he's very blunt about everything and if he has to say something, whether it be good or bad, he
will say it. because of this, he can accidentally upset someone, but that's when his softer side comes out.
heronpaw can be super kind, and by super kind i mean that he will always put others ahead of himself and
work as hard as he can to make others happy. he'll pour out to the cats who care for him and respect him,
but be indifferent to others who are not in those categories. to some cats, heronpaw seems like a perfect cat
even though he does have his flaws, however when you try and find those flaws you will find his charms. he's
someone that you fall in love with again and again, simply because he's one of those cats others misunderstand
at first but are always surprising them with something new and unexpected about them, when really he's just
exposing another side of himself. heronpaw is also very cool, like he has some sort of aura that says 'yes, i look
threatening, be afraid of me', which can cause cats to avoid him. he can act distant and unwelcoming at some
times, but honestly its probably your fault or he's just having a bad day. despite his colder side, he doesn't hold
grudges and is also quite mature for his age. he isn't very judgmental and tends to live by his own rules, but he
doesn't like changes and prefers to have everything the same at all times. he is also a very loyal friend, one who
would always stick up for them no matter what. overall, heronpaw is a very sweet and decent cat even if
he acts harsh sometimes.

heronpaw was born a kittypet, and had the name sugar. he hated life as a twoleg pet and always dreamed of
escaping the dreaded house he felt his owners trapped him in. when sugar was about six moons old, he
managed to run away from his twolegs and ventured out into the mountains, eventually stumbling upon
a woodclan patrol and begging the warriors to let him into the clan. they hesitantly took him to the
leader, who agreed to let him join as an apprentice. he earned the name heronpaw and trained to become
a warrior with his mentor, cherrycloud. as an apprentice, the other cats would pick on him constantly
because he had kittypet blood. he managed to ignore it most of the time, and the other times he would
snap back at them. after two moons of training, he came to the conclusion that being a warrior wasn't
the right path for him, and instead he wanted to train as a medicine cat apprentice.

ashpelt ;; ● ashpelt wasn't known for his friendly demeanor, and he often acted rude around heronpaw. however, he appreciates the hardworking attitude ashpelt has and believes that he is a loyal member to the clan.

oakpaw ;; ✔ heronpaw has strong feelings towards the younger apprentice, though he isn't one to show his feelings towards him. heronpaw was a moon into his training as a medicine cat, and oakpaw's parents' deaths were the first death he experienced. this greatly affect both of the cats, oakpaw for losing his loved ones and heronpaw for blaming himself. heronpaw also helped oakpaw get over the disappearance of his sister by comforting the apprentice whenever he could.

whitewhisker ;; ✔ this tom has a similar personality to heronpaw, and the apprentice respects him. as the deputy, the apprentice obviously has to honor him, but whitewhisker is admired by the younger cat because of his personality. they share several traits, and seem to get along well from the few times heronpaw had to help whitewhisker with his wounds.

greystar ;; ✔ similar to whitewhisker, heronpaw knows he has to look up to the leader to some extent, but greystar's charisma always make him feel like a friend to the apprentice. he appreciates his clever mindset towards battles, as it often results in less cats getting injured.

littlebird ;; ✘ heronpaw and littlebird tend to keep their distance from each other, as heronpaw isn't too fond of her bubbly personality. whenever the warrior arrives at the medicine cat den, he tries to avoid caring for her and lets his mentor take care of her instead. there isn't a specific reason why they dislike each other, but the apprentice has thought they didn't get along because of their opposite personalities. for instance, littlebird is super extroverted while heronpaw is super introverted. they don't know each other too well, but then again they don't really want to.

complex and unusual are what most cats describe littlebird as. she is one in a
million, for her personality is so strange that others have no idea how to explain
her. because of her odd nature, she is often misunderstood and difficult to
understand. this can discourage her sometimes if other cats treat her as if she is
a kit. although she does sometimes behave similarly to a kit, spontaneous and
not caring what others think. because of this, she will do absolutely everything
without hesitation. she enjoys making others happy, and that is one of his goals in
life. she is positive and prefers seeing the good in things rather than the negative
ones. she is also extroverted and speaks well with anyone, whether they are
complete strangers or good friends. she doesnt find it hard to express her feelings
and talk out loud about what is on her mind and about her opinions. this may
result in her not liking being alone, and she can sometimes get too clingy around
other cats. but deep under this, littlebird can be serious at times when she
needs to. she understands orders well and is a loyal clanmate. she also has a special
way of connecting to others, especially kits. perhaps its her warmheartedness or
that shes easy to approach, but nobody really knows why young cats are so drawn to
her. littlebird is a very complex cat, and even her closest friends cannot describe
her at times!

for the first twelve moons of her life, littlebird lived as a normal clan cat. she grew
up with only a mother, her only knowledge on her father for many moons was that
he was once a great warrior who died bravely in battle. her mother kitted her and
her sister echokit, who was a blind and deaf she-cat that later died when she was
four moons old. her mother was devastated, but stayed strong until littlekit became
littlepaw and left the nursery. she was a talented apprentice, and was told she got
her skills from her father. the older she grew, the more insane her mother went. being
without company made her restless until she started disappearing for long periods of
time. when littlepaw was nearing the end of her apprenticeship, her mother announced
that she was expecting a warrior's kits. littlepaw was excited for the new kits and
believed that her mother was really mates with the warrior. she completed her warrior
assessment and earned the name littlebird. a few moons later, her mother kitted three
kits: crowkit, ravenkit, and dovekit. however, she didn't care for her kits and often left
them with the other queens. littlebird was angered by this and confronted her about it,
though only got a scolding. late one night, she caught her mother and the kits sneaking
out of camp, so she followed them to the edge of the territory to meet a rogue. she was
furious and stepped out of hiding, asking her mother who he was and what they were doing.
the rogue was, in fact, the father of her and the kits and her mother wanted the kits to
be with him. littlebird didn't argue, instead leaving her family there and returning to
camp to hear that her mother had also vanished. littlebird kept it a secret, though, and
isn't planning on revealing the truth anytime soon. she still misses her family very much
to this day, as she was attached to her mother and cared very much for the kits. she regrets
her decision of allowing them to leave so easily and one day wishes to try and find them.

ashpelt ;; ✘ the warrior's unfriendly behavior always seemed to rub littlebird in the wrong direction, and she was annoyed by his sternness. although, she does value his feelings towards the clan.

oakpaw ;; ✔ littlebird was an older apprentice when oakpaw first became an apprentice. she made sure that he felt comfortable at his new rank and recovered from the loss of his family. their friendship changed when she earned her warrior name and became more distanced from apprentices, though littlebird still has good thoughts towards oakpaw.

whitewhisker ;; ● the deputy and the warrior rarely interact with each other, though when they do it's usually positive. she appreciates his loyalty and care towards the entire clan.

greystar ;; ✔ littlebird is a respectful cat, and is supposed to look up to her leader. she does, in fact, and to a great extent. greystar's calm and thoughtful actions inspire the warrior, and his charms made the difference in ranks seem to vanish. littlebird sometimes thinks that she has romantic feelings towards the tom, but is always reminded by their age difference and manages to forget them.

heronpaw ;; ✘ the two cats never seemed to get along. littlebird always felt disliked by the medicine cat apprentice, which caused her to distance herself from him as well. although his timid nature never stopped her from reaching out to get to know the cat, it always ended badly. eventually, she gave up on trying to interact with heronpaw and instead goes to the medicine cat for healing instead of the apprentice.
