His ears flicked as the leader beginned the clan meeting, nodding to Duskflame he followed after him. Glancing at the leader he sat down next to the red tom "Deputy huh?!" he meowed silently, he knowed that it could not be him, becuase he was way too young for that.

Waiting her apprentices answer, she turned toward the high rock where Pondstar waited the cats to gather to the clan meeting. Sitting down she glanced at the leader, little hoping she could name her to become the new deputy, but she didn't want to be too prudly about it either.

She nodded to the tom, following him to listen what the leader was going to say "Maybe it's our warrior ceremony" she joked, whispering to the tom ear, with a smile.

The tom laughed a bit at Cloverpaw comment "I dought, though we do deserve it!" He added with a proud little purr. Squirrelpaw had his moments of cockiness even though they didn't show up as often as most thought they would.

The she-cat closed her eyes as she finished scanning her Clan. Who would make an excellent successor as deputy and eventually leader? After taking a moment to make her final deicision, Pondstar opened her green eyes once more. This was it; it was time to announce her new second-in-command.

"Wolfnose," she meowed boldly, "Wolfnose shall be the new deputy of TwilightClan."

Duskflame's amber eyes widened as Pondstar announced her new deputy. His gaze quickly fell on Wolfnose, speechless as he stared at the tom with astonishment. Eventually, he brightened up, and chanted the new deputy's name, "Wolfnose! Wolfnose!"

Her grin seemed to widen at Pondstar's decision. Joy filled her body as she jumped to her feet, tail raised. Screaming at the top of her lungs, owlpaw said, "WOOHOO! GO WOLFNOSE! WOLFNOSE, WOLFNOSE!" Then for a moment she turned back towards the others. "I totally called it!" She was once more bouncing with excitement, all previous misgivings about deputy thrown aside.

"Hunting hawks did not belong in cages, no matter how much a man coveted their grace, no matter how golden the bars. They were far more beautiful soaring free. Heartbreakingly beautiful."

His scowl stretched deeper than anyone thought it could. "That furball is supposed to be my new deputy?! He's softer than a kittypet!" He snarled, fuming. Suddenly he got whacked over the head and winced, before turning to harshly glare at who would dare do that to him. Echopaws eyes angrily glared back. "You may call him a kittypet but right now your acting like a kit. Wolfnose is a perfect cat to be deputy and I can't help if your too mousebrained to see it." He snarled at her and he could feel the tensions rising as she raised her hackles at him. Another fight seemed to be imminent between the two.

Paleshade chanted along with her clan mates the new deputy Wolfnoes would make an amazing deputy and leader. Looking around a bit she spotted the deputy he'll do just fine. Quieting down the she at waited for what else Pondstar had to say.

Biting her bottom lips for a moment when the leader called her choise, she did feel a little dissapointed, but let it not show. Sighing she glanced at the new deputy "Wolfnose Wolfnose" she chanted his name like anyone else.

She smilled at the tom "Yeah, but sadly it's not...yet" she meowed ears flicking toward the warrior tom, which was not choised to be a deputy "Well Wolfnose is not bad chose as a deputy" she said to the younger tom "Wolfnose. Wolfnose" she chanted.

they hadn't exactly been vying for the position, so hearing wolfnose's name being called inspired no ill-will. instead they brightened a bit and turned to the tom in question, nudging him with their shoulder. "well, looks like that walk's on you." they said, a rare smile breaking across their maw. of all the warriors clustered around, mumblebrook thought that pondstar had made a good choice with appointing wolfnose as her deputy. plus, in the pool of possible candidates there were a slim few who could ever hope to have mumblebrook follow their orders. wolfnose was one of those lucky few, which was a lucky break for them all. a glitter in their green eyes, mumblebrook's smile widened for a moment before they lifted their muzzle to cheer the new deputy's name.

from her spot towards the back of the group, she only caught sight of wolfnose because he was so tall, and he was seated next to mumblebrook, who was also a very tall cat. hopefully with this choice, the elder thought as she lifted her muzzle to the sky and chanted, it will help alleviate some of that fear i saw in her eyes. despite her relief that the clan now had a strong leader as well as a strong deputy, she couldn't help but feel a small nugget of fear weighing heavily in her chest. those curled ears hear all, and in this case they'd heard the crowing of a certain young apprentice. would others share his misgivings? a quick glance around showed her that for the most part, everyone seemed to be proud of their new deputy. while she was breathing an inward sigh of relief, the tabby elder shot hawkpaw a hard stare. rambunctious youth. she'd have to sit on him and tell him every story she knew if she heard another statement like that out of his mouth.

marigoldpool yowled his name. "Wolfnose, wolfnose!" she was glad he had won. she pretty much knew he would win. he was a great fit for deputy anyways.

"WOLFNOSE!" dapplelight mewed "she is only 34 moons!" fiery blazing in her eyes. but she just kept lying down.

"Wolfnose? He would be a good choice, but he seems too caring. A deputy should have an equal amount of kindness and strength," Heronpaw explained. He looked back at Pondstar, listening to what she had to say. Although he didn't completely agree with her choice, he still joined in with the chanting of his name. He laughed at Owlpaw's excitement for Wolfnose.

Littlebird nodded at the she-cat's statement. "Hm, Littlestar does have a nice ring to it," She pondered. "Though I think you'd be the better leader out of the both of us. Plus, Finchstar sounds more threatening than Littlestar," She purred at the thought of the two of them being the heads of the clan. Littlebird turned back to Pondstar, eagerly waiting for her to speak again. At the sound of the new deputy's name, she erupted in a chant of Wolfnose's name. He would be a good deputy, perhaps a leader, too, someday. Littlebird looked back at Finchlight with a teasing smirk on her face. "I called it!" She giggled, sticking out her tongue to joke with her friend.
