Bearpaw flicked her ears back. This wasn't the reaction she expected at all. "I'm okay honestly. It's just a little sore." She looked back at her hind leg. The spot that had been bitten was puffy. And it hurt but not that bad, she'd been hurt worse plenty of times. She started walking towards the medicine den slowly following Willowtail.

Emberlight dispatched the squirrel with a swift blow and climbed back to the ground. She buried the squirrel and sniffed the air for other prey scents. Glancing around, she wondered how her clanmates had faired.

Nightflower split apart from the others when Emberlight did, taking that as an indication of what was expected when hunting. She trotted a short distance away before slowing to a stop so that she could try and remember anything she might have heard around camp about finding prey. She had seen apprentices practicing crouches and leaping at things, possibly pretending to catch prey, but other than they she had never been taught how to hunt and she was much too prideful to actually ask anyone to show her how. Right now she was relying mostly on instinct to help her. A soft rustle alerted her to potential prey and she instantly dropped into a crouch, mimicking what she had seen those apprentices in camp doing, and slowly started creeping towards the sound.

Emberlight caught Nightflower's scent and tracked the she-cat. She saw that Nightflower was in a hunting crouch and turned back, not wanting to interrupt her. Unsure of where Wolfclaw was, Emberlight sniffed the air, picking up the faint scent of mouse. She began to track it, worried that the mouse would be down a burrow already. Catching sight of the mouse, Emberlight dropped into a hunting crouch and crept forward.
