Eventually Firethorn slowed to a stop, not actually that far from camp. It appeared he had run in a circle. With a lash of his stubby tail he sat down. Could he not do anything right? But wait, he had caught a scent! Firethorn inched towards whatever he had smelled, down in a stalking position. With a mighty yowl he lunged at the pokemon.

Sylina yelped as she heard the howl, and padded off to discover what the noise was, after checking around the area to make sure everything was alright.

Oh, it had just been a pidgey. Now it was lunch. As Firethorn settled down to enjoy his newly caught lunch, the sound of paw steps disturbed him. Glancing up he noticed another pokemon, a Sylveon was it? Wasn't she the one he had seen in camp?

"Scared? I wasn't scared!" The leafeon sniffed, "I was most definitely not scared!" His tone was a bit suggested otherwise and he quickly changed the subject, "Would you like some pidgey? I, uh, caught it but I don't exactly have a taste for it anymore." The sad little bird had a single bite taken out of it.
