He grinned, dropping the mouse at his feet.
"Thanks." he told her, pleased with the praise. He wondered when they should head back. This was his first real day as a warrior, and while he knew hunting before leaf bare was incredibly important, he didn't want to miss any of his warrior duties because he wasn't in the camp. He looked up at the sky, but it was still early in the day.
She was already hunting by the time the sun came up. So far, she hadn't caught anything, and blamed it on the snow. The crunching sound the snow made scared most prey off, and she wasn't experienced enough to know how to solve the problem. She sighed and kept moving, head raised to the air to pick up scents. The snow absorbed any scents that were left on the ground.
