Lore
As in realistic nature his rare, melanic coloration was seen as undesirable and even a curse by his parents. He was shunned almost immediatly after hatching when his fuzzy down showed the unusual colors and she was abandon by her parents in the Tyto Forest. However it wasn't to long after his abandonment that a Guardian patrol found him as a helpless hatchling and he was taken in by the members of the great tree. He grew up there in the later years of the War of the Ice Claws and was trained to be a great warrior, even fighting in the very last half of the War. However during his first battle he was to over-confident and ended up losing his right eye. After that he wizened up and took his job more seriously and he became a very capable warrior. After the war he became a mentor to younger owls teaching them how to be strong and confident fighters, but also teaching them to not be over-confident like he once was.

Personality
Wise with age this battle-hardened warrior is the more stoic and mature type. While he can be stern he does like to have fun with the younger owls that he mentors, though he knows there is a time and place

Lore
An impressive fighter she gained the respect of the Pure Ones as a captured owlet, showing off her fierce attitude almost immediately after being brought to St. Agelious. Unlike most other of her species who were chosen to be moon-blinked 'Pickers' Her determination and fighting spirit caught the eyes of the commanders and she was allowed to be trained as a sentry despite not being a 'pure' Tyto. Though that status of being from an 'unpure' species leads to other warriors and sentries not taking her skills seriously she does her best to prove them wrong, that she can be just as good as any 'pure' Tyto

Personality
Rough, bold and brash Kyla isn't afraid to ruffles others feathers. Due to being underestimated her whole life she can be quite aggressive and confrontational, taking things more personally then she probably should. She can be very competitive as she always feels the need to prove herself to the other Pure Ones since she is looked down n for not actually being a 'Tyto' owl
