sprucekit's legs wobbled. "pondheart!" the kit squealed loudly. "oakkit's hurt!!"

(*Pondheart runs into the room* "ZOMG OAKKIT'S HURT HE'S GONNA DIE")
Pondheart ran back into the nursery. "What happened?" She asked, seeing a poked Oakkit on the ground.

sprucekit looked up at the she-cat. "h-he- he walked into the walk and a bramble caught his face.." she said quietly.

Oakkit studied his surroundings through blind eyes. He just swiveled his head around.

"Ah." Pondheart examined Oakkit's face. Seeing no major injuries or thorns(?), she gave his face a quick lick. "He should be fine." She told Sprucekit.

sprucekit collapsed on the ground and relaxed. "okay. good." she said, her voice muffled by her paws.

Oakkit started crawling around aimlessly.

as her clan gathered she flicked her tail, "faith, you have decided to join the clan as an apprentice. from this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as sparrowpaw. your mentor will be shadefur, I hope shadefur will pass all he knows down to you." she meowed, calling shadefur up to high rock, "shadefur, you are ready to take on an apprentice. you had received excellent training from pineear, and you have shown yourself to be intuitive and patient. you will be the mentor of sparrowpaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to sparrowpaw."

leafpaw nodded to his mother, padding down before he went for the fresh kill pile, grunting as briarstar called a clan meeting. the tom sat down next to his uncle, ears pinned to his head.

as she heard her name, (still not being familiar with clan ways), faith/sparrowpaw scurried up to her moms side and listened, looking down at the group of cats before tilting her head slightly. she wondered who shadefur was- and what he looked like. was he bulky? was he lithe? was he dark? why had briarstar chosen him? was he a good warrior? did she like him? wait. 'does she like him?' she asked herself in her mind before she flicked her tail.

Shadefur was surprised, but nodded. He padded up to his new apprentice, and touched noses with her. He meowed, "I will do my best." Shadefur hoped he wouldn't have to be hard on his apprentice, considering she was a former loner- would she catch on quickly?
