Cinder pads back into clan territory, not wanting to return to her father with no cat. On the way, she notices a shecat. She didn't smell like a clan cat, good. Cinder approaches the shecat. "Hey there."

(If the user of Pawpaw doesn't respond, can Cinder maybe talk to Blightleaf and try to convince her to join her and her father?)

Dust grinned, wiggling in his spot. "Ok, so, I was minding my own business right, just trying to take this weird food thing out of the hole in their den. I didn't see the little Upright coming and it started to screech. Like, full on screech and tried to grab me so I ran. But a bigger one came after me with this stick and tried to chase me down, but of course it didn't catch me! I ran down the hill and jumped into a tree but the upright wasn't fast enough and it slipped and fell into the water!!"

Walking beside the two sisters, her stomach felt heavy with the weight of the future. "Do you think she'll live? Her breathing is pretty shallow, and with a mate and kits it would be very tragic." While she didn't like Flamepelt at all, no lit deserved to lose a mother like this. Her only memory in the clan would be as a crazy she-cat who nearly killed herself and others for a single, motherless kit...

He noticed his apprentice talking to the newcomer, Dust. To be honest, the youth and innocence of the two cats was easily welcomed compared to the dishonesty of that stray calico. Cinder's presence still itched at is fur like fleas, but he didn't say much on the subject since Dawnstar had accepted her into their ranks. Padding over to the fresh kill pile, he makes a mental count of what prey is still fresh.

Hissing loudly, the cat claws hard at the hawk's exposed belly as it dives down at him. The bird let out a call of pain as the slender tom tears through it's feather, snarling to protect his freshly caught rabbit. As the hawk takes off, he watches closely to make sure it was gone for good before licking the talon wounds on his shoulder and grabbing his catch. No bird would get in the way of him and a fat rabbit!

Moon had been sucked up in all of the drama as well, she could hardly speak up against Flamepelt when the she-cat had been so calm this morning before kitting. Relaxing into the shade, she had no idea what was happening around here at all! Killing strangers on sight, turning against each other, fighting battle that had no real point to them, it was all so confusing!

Leafpaw nodded vaguely, attempting to follow the young tom's quick words. "Oh, wow!" she commented, forcing her excitement. "Then what? They went back to their den?" She readjusted her position and let her eyes flicker to the sky. They focused on the silhouette of a hawk circling above, gently swaying in circles and eyeing the ground below it. It didn't seem close enough to be a threat to the camp, however. As her thoughts continued to linger away from the conversation she was having, a hollowness crept through her belly again. Nearly fourteen moons. In a couple of sunrises, I'll be fourteen moons and still an apprentice. Not to mention that Wrenfoot suspected it would be another moon or so until my warrior ceremony. Has any cat ever been an apprentice this long? I'm just an embarrassment to the Clan.

Blackwing heaved a sigh from where he sat. The cats had wasted so much prey attempting to feed Owlkkt that the pile was already running low again. "When will Redheart finally organize some patrols?" he muttered, irritation pricking at his paw pads. His gaze swept over the camp, absently checking that everything was calm again.

"Well it got up and I was too busy laughing to notice it till it grabbed me by the tail." Dust frowned. "It's a good thing it's gone now because that's what they normally go for." he shrugged softly, flicking and ear and following her gaze. "I heard those could be dangerous. Have you ever seen one up close?"

"A hawk? No...I've heard stories, though. Apparently when I was a young kit, still too small to even leave the nursery, one of my denmates had wandered into the middle of camp. Before any cat could do anything, he was snatched up by a hawk and never seen again," Leafpaw explained, glancing over at the nursery. The den was about to overflow with the amount of kits living there, causing Leafpaw to worry that one or two might wander off unnoticed. She usually would alert the queens as soon as a hawk was spotted, but on this particular day, she was managing to keep five fox-lengths away from the nursery at all times.

"What do you want?" Quickclaw asked through gritted teeth, not sure if Blightleaf would threaten to kill the kit or not if he advanced further. "Why are you here?" His claws dug into the soft dirt, wishing it was her pelt they were sinking into instead.
