"Don't we all," Scorch growled with both disdain and an odd determination. He straightened his back, glancing back down at Jackal. "Well, it was nice meeting you, Jackal. Maybe we'll see each other again." He smiled softly, then began walking down the street once more. He sighed and narrowed his eyes, casting one glance over his shoulder before turning into an abandoned alley. He sat down near the opening, sighing softly again. He rested his head against the stone building behind him, then undid the strap holding his cloak into place on his neck, letting the top part of it fall down a little bit, revealing the scars on his neck, especially the large one his throat. He cast another glance around, making sure he was alone.

Solstice returned to her palace with a regal and imposing stance. The guards bowed deeply to her, and she strode past them with some sort of weird, evil grace. A messenger flapped up to her with another bow. "Y-Your Highness," he started, not getting up. "The royal SandWing egg is hatching." Solstice nodded and picked up her pace, sweeping past SandWings and NightWings mostly. Arriving in the hatchery, she saw her own daughter crouching over a pale SandWing hatchling. "Mist," she said to her daughter with her voice like wet stones. "Let me see this newborn SandWing, please."

Mist jumped, surprised by Solstices's quiet approach, and then nodded shaking. "Y-yes, Mother," she said, stepping back. "But, um..." The hybrid trailed off.

OOC: What should I do with Deathcaller? He's all alone, and I haven't made an intro post yet I don't think.

Arid tried to lift her head to look at her mother but her flimsy neck just wasn't strong enough yet so she just did her best to look up making a small sad sound and her blue eyes filled with tears of defeat

Mist nearly rushed up to help the pitiful dragonet that was her sister, but with Solstice there, she didn't think she should. Instead, the older dragonet watched helplessly as her newly hatched sister struggled to look at the Queen.

Scorch shifted the dark cloak, thinking it was now quite a bad idea to wear it in the desert. He sighed, glancing around the alley once more before slipping his gold horn coverings off, revealing the stone that had formed on the top and edges of them. It wasn't often that he take them off around the eyes of other dragons; they might get a little suspicious and try to ask him how they became like that. Something he did NOT want to share. He poked his head out of the entrance to the alley, making sure the 'Jackal' dragon wasn't following him. Scorch disappeared further into the darkness of the alley, completely taking his cloak off. He glanced disdainfully at the base of his tail, where some stone had formed in the past too.

Frost decided to walk away from the stands. She poked her head in an alley, swearing she just saw someone disappear down it. Hesitantly, she started following, scales camouflaged.

scorch slipped his horn covers back on, casting a glance behind him afterwards. he felt prickles down his spine like he was being watched. he narrowed his eyes, but cast his gaze back ahead of him, continuing on his way down the darkened alley. if someone was following him, he'd have to act natural. he sat down with his back resting against a stone building. scorch took the bunch of dates that his tail had wrapped around, then sighed and glanced upwards at the tranquil blue sky while he picked a few.

Earthquake's eyes widened as Mesquite dumped the sapphires back in the river. She snarled in annoyance, forgetting about Nameless for a moment as she dived back in, quickly scooping up the precious blue gems and resurfacing, dumping them back on the riverbank. She glared as the SandWing disappeared. "I'm so killing him when I have the chance."
