Shadeheart knew that the medicine cats would have their paws full with the others so he didn't follow them into the medicine cat den. Instead he sat down and began to clean his wounds himself.

Minkpaw followed Nettlefall out of the den only to be told to go back inside. The three legged apprentice obeyed without question and took it upon himself to start examining one of the cats while he awaited instruction from the medicine cat.

She looked at sparkpaw, concerned. "You fought well today." She stated sitting down and looking at redstripe.

Oxkit
He heard his sister and raced outside to see redstripe looking in terrible condition. He whimpered and backed up into the nursery. what happened he thought, shaking slightly.

Nettlefall immediately started checking Redstripes wounds, ear flicking irritably when Blackstorm started talking.

"Thank you" Sparkpaw mumbled, watching carefully as Redstripe's wounds were inspected.

She turned and walked outside. they have enough work today she thought and got a mouse from the kill pile.

'Where did she get attacked, mainly?' Nettlefall asked any cat, needing to know more about the wounds. As he did, he padded around the den, collecting cobwebs, marigold, dock, goldenrod and horsetail.

Redstripe tail lashed from side to side, She lay still on the ground, why do I have to be so stupid! She thought to herself, she should have known it would have been black cat.

Swanflower stood up and grabbed Sheepkit she she could place her back inside her nest. She gave her adopted daughter a quick lick to the top of her head before moving over towards Oxkit. The queen began to groom the tom-kit, purring softly as she did so, in an attempt to calm him down.

Minkpaw was mainly just watching Nettlefall work since he didn't yet know much about which herbs to use for this situation.

'Don't move, Restripe.' Nettlefall warned, making sure the wounds were clean and then using his teeth to cut the marigold, and dripping some of the juice onto the wounds. He then chewed up the dock, horsetail, and goldenrod, carefully mixing the poultice together and putting it on the wounds, a long and tedious job. He turned to Minkpaw. 'Use marigold to stop infection in the wounds, and horsetail or goldenrod in a poultice will help cure the wounds. Make sure the wounds are clean as well, then use cobweb.' he explained.

He purred gratefully into the queen's fur. "What if Featherpad is hurt?" He whimpered "or worse? And what about redstripe, will she survive?" He started shaking again.
