Thistle got into a position and started to groom Songpaw's pelt. He was still blushing, he thought she might freak out and attack him. It made sense. She probably didn't like him. He saw Leaf smirking in the distance and got redder, closing his eyes as he continued to groom Songpaw's pelt.

Songpaw found this rather odd, though comforting. She didn't pull away, just blushed. "Soo.." she mewed. "What do you like to do?" She asked him, trying to start conversation.

I like to be near you. He thought to himself. "I like to look at butterfly patterns..." He said. He blushed. That sounded lame as can be. What other cat watched the pattern of a butterfly? He continued to groom her, he started to gently lick her forehead. One misplaced lick on the nose froze him with fear. He had licked her on the nose. He had licked her on the nose like mates would. He had done something oh so very wrong. But to him, that lick felt like heaven.

Songpaw froze, the lick startled her. She liked it, but he couldn't know that! She rolled onto her back, looking at the sky, so it would seem normal pulling away from him. "O-okay.. " She said. Though she couldn't believe there was another cat her shared her creativity, her interest in patterns and colors. "No way!" She started. "I like doing that to, the colors on fish, the patterns on butterflies.. I didn't think there would ever be another cat her shares my interests." Everyone else thought of her as a Daring, stubborn, trouble making she cat. But she had another side.

Thistle was still blushing. He shook his head. "Yeah. Patterns are cool." He glanced at his sister who was covering her mouth, crying as she struggled not to laugh. Why must my siblings enjoy my pain? He asked himself. He looked up at the sky, seeing all the shapes in the clouds. He closed his eyes and listened to the sounds of nature. He hoped he would never be in that situation with Songpaw again. Well, he actually did hope he would. It was... Nice. But it was unlikely to happen again anyway.

Spottedfire
"I-I don't know..." Spottedfire wailed and glanced at her belly fearfully. "Why is this happening? So soon! Am I going to die? How many kits will I have? Will they live? I don't remember ever hearing of a queen kitting so early!" She rambled on, obviously distraught despite the catmint which only served to cause her to voice her thoughts. Lightningstrike only watched on helplessly and continued to lick her, wanting to comfort his mate.

She sighed, "You need to calm down. You will be perfectly fine." she said and put some catmint on the stick for when she would need her to bite on it.

Songpaw nodded, smiling. She defiantly liked Thistle. "Thistlepaw.." She murmured quietly to herself. "You know," she then mewed. "Its weird, but I cant wait until Leaf-bare. Our clan never had a rough winter, Stormstar is clever. We stock food like squirrels store nuts, so we don't go hungry." Songpaw knew that wasn't strictly true, they had had rough winters. "The real reason I cant wait, though, is because I love snow. I really, really do!"

Her tail lashed and she began pacing. "I can't be ready yet, I'm nowhere near ready yet!" she wailed loudly, not caring if she alerted the whole camp. "My kits, make sure my kits survive if you can only save one of us. Swanflower has experience, she would be a wonderful mother to them." Lightningstrike shook his head in horror at the thought of her dying. "You'll be fine," he chuckled nervously. "You're the strongest she-cat I know! If anyone could do it, it's you."

Swanflower greeted Stormstar with a flick of her tail before she said, "I just wanted to remind you that my kits are going to be turning six moons in a few days. Starkit is very excited so I promised her I would make sure you didn't forget." Sheepkit, being about a week older than the other two, was actually already six moons but the queen wanted the three of them to have their ceremonies together since she had raised them all as littermates.

Shadeheart gave the deputy a half smile as he tried to avoid showing his own embarrassment. "Are you alright?" He asked in an attempt to change the subject a bit, "I saw you heading into the medicine cat den earlier." The tom sharply reminded himself that Redstripe's personal dealings were none of his business and to prepare for her to just brush the question off.

Minkpaw

"I think she had potential." Minkpaw said with a soft smile, "Honeykit is kind, friendly, and willing to learn. I'll be glad if she has a good cat like you for her mentor.A harsher, less patient mentor would probably make her more withdrawn." He turned his head to look at the den's entrance when he heard Spottedfire's yowling from inside the nursery. Perhaps he should go assist his mentor with the queen?

Sheepkit

Sheepkit fell over with a soft huff when Larkkit pounced on him. The apprentice aged kit hadn't been expecting the attack which is why the smaller tom was able to knock him right off his paws.

Honeykit

Honeykit wandered out of the nursery without giving Starkit any indication that she was going to do so. She knew that Swanflower would probably be upset with her for going out without permission but Spottedfire's strange actions were disturbing and confusing her so she wanted to get away.

(@CatLoverz - do you want me to switch sheepkit back to a female? i originally had them female but then switched them to male because there aren't enough male cats. i saw that you have larkkit crushing on sheepkit and didn't know which gender you would rather have your kit crushing on and i'm cool with whatever)

Stormstar nodded, she had already decided the kit's mentors. "I have been meaning to speak to you of this, Swanflower." She mewed on, "Honeykit's mentor will be Echopelt, if she is better in those few days. Echopelt is gentle, understanding and would be great for a cat like Honeykit." She didn't mean for it to sound that way, but Honeykit was deaf, she had nothing against that, though her words, "A cat like Honeykit.." Might hurt the queen. "Now, about Starkit." She started. "I think I will mentor Starkit. I have seen the way she acts, her potential, her personality.. It all fits. One day, she might have what it takes to be leader. Speak with Starkit, as it is rare for a leader to take an apprentice. She must not boast, all tell any cat before the ceremony. Am I understood?" Stormstar did not know how the queen would take this, though she would be honoured.
