Finchstep decides to deliver herbs to the elders first and gathers the corresponding leaves. He gathers them up in a leaf and trots out of his den, passing Brokenwing and Hawkfeather and a kit he assumes was one of the clans, not giving it a second thought as he makes his way through the camp to the elders den.

Brokenwing gives both the warrior and the kit a dubious look. “And you’re just going to…keep it? Without asking Emberstar or even one of the med cats?”

Hawkfeather looks at her and shakes her head. "I was actually going to see them. I wanted to see what they would say about the kit. And I was wondering who in the clan has had kits to help take care of the little kit. "

Brokenwing shrugs, “I don’t think there are many queens and the ones we do have, already have their paws full…” She glances nervously at the kit again, “Is it a kittypet or a loner?”

Hawkfeather shrug as she places the kit down. She wraps her tail around the kit to keep it warm. "I think a loner since she doesn't have that twoleg thing around her neck."

“I’ve never seen a two-leg thing small enough to fit her anyways.” Brokenwing points out, still doubtful. She prays to Starclan above that Hawkfeather didn’t want her to care for the kit. She was a warrior not a queen –and for a good reason.

Hawkfeather then look at her. "You know as well as I do that twolegs would put anything on cats to show their owned" Hawkfeather sit down as she looks at Brokenwing. She smile a bit as she place the tip of her tail on Brokenwing's tail. "Dont worry okay?"

Brokenwing dips her head in agreement "Whatever you say, Hawkfeather." She figures that if keeping the kit was really a problem, Emberstar would say so and it wasn't her place to tell her clanmates what to do.

Hawkfeather looks at the kit and smile as she giggles softly. "The kit is something interesting." Hawkfeather glance back over to where the kit came from. She look at Brokenwing a few moments after. "So are you going onto a patrol today Brokenwing?"
