The comment on she-cats annoyed Brindlepaw a little, even if it was true, but this just fuelled her fire to learn. She had been used to being called tiny, for compared to her brother she was, and as a kit it was something they used in play. "Tiny cats generally can react quicker," she stated. Brindlepaw decided to get into a convenient position, so she crouched a little, legs tense, and covered her neck with her head. Patiently, she awaited attack.

Hawkwing smirked as he saw her eyes light up with irritation at his comment. "I mean no offense only stating the truth." he said with a flick of the ear, "And im hoping to teach you to use your speed to out match your opponents." Hawkwing walked calmly around her as he spoke, "Good stance, protecting your neck is important." he said before suddenly lunging at her and barreling her over.

"Oof!" She squealed when she collided with Hawkwing and then the ground. "Good move!" She giggled and jumped to her feet again, this time ready for a surprise attack.

Without hesitating or responding Hawkwing tackled her again, this time he used his weight to hold her down. "Get out of it." he said holding her with his forarms, his claws sheathed.

Brindlepaw had seen Hawkwing move and had tried to leap out of the way, but then when he pinned her she was slightly twisted. "Ow!" She cried and wiggled weakly. "My back!" She whimpered a little and tried to move without twisting any more.

"Get out of it." Hawkwing repeated simply but when hehrealized she was only trying to untwist he said, "Your enemies wont care if you're caught at an odd angle." he said trying his best to instruct her

Brindlepaw stopped and stared at Hwkwing, before suddenly spitting into his eye. She took the opportunity to twist into her stomach and propel herself out using her legs. Once free, she kicked his back leg and leapt out of reach. She poised ready to dodge an attack.

Hawkwing hissed briefly, and paused to wipe the spit out of his eyes, "good one." He said before looking at her. He then charged but instead of pummeling her over he jumped over her and landed behind her before spinning around and pouncing on her back

(Perhaps to avoid powerplay could could use, 'aimed to pounce on her back' instead?)

Brindlepaw clumsily dodged, but tripped over and stumbled away. Her ginger-white fur got completely messed up and she was caked in grass and dirt. She charged at Hawkwing, but at the last second skidded underneath him and out the other side. It was too late by the time she realised that she hadn't actually attacked him, just skidded beneath him.

Hawkwing stopped and watched her as she skidded beneath him, "good work with that." He said "I did that when I was younger, allowed me to claw up their under bellies." He shook out his fur then looked to the branches above them before glancing back at her. "Nowadays however I'm too large to do that." His icy eyes met her's, "now tell me what do you think could help you when fighting a larger opponent"
