Rose glanced over at Burk curiously. "Why did you get up?" She asked, simply curious to why he had laid down next to her. She smiled softly, glancing around the area the pack had settled in. Deciding she didn't want to be near the others Rose, raised herself to her paws as she got up and jogged out of the tunnel they had walked in.
Once outside Rose looked for Shuin, smiling when she found her new Alpha. Jogging over to him slowly, Rose seated herself next to him silently. She'd let him speak first, not feeling a need for words.

Evorine smirked happily,she started,"Well,well,well...,You pups wanna know about my life? Hmm...Let's see here friends,"She began quietly,"It's no Fairy-Tale,let me tell you that,"She sighed and looked down quickly,not letting them see her expression,it would have shown weakness, in her eyes."I had a brother named Sulli,we weren't the best of friends either."Evorine continued,sofly speaking,"Our mother, Mone was her name, she got killed by hunters when we were very,very young.Our father,Bates,he took care of us for about a year or so,then he found a new mate,and away he went.That's when Sulli and I started to have problems with eachother,he was in denial.His personality completely took a turn for the worst.He was snarky,and angry all the time,and sooner or later we got into a terrible fight,that's how I got this," She turned her back and flashed them a long scar that ran down her back,and stopped just short of her tail,but it was nearly covered with fur now.She grinned at them,"Then,he took off in a wild rage,and I never saw him again,and I don't care to either."She finished gruffly,looking over the pack,her amber eyes meeting everyone else's.Then,she looked to Deter,"So whatcha think,Beta?" She inquired, smirking.

Burk didn't answer in time to watch his new friend get up and leave. He smiled when he figured she'd go off and talk with the alpha. That was good, he could tell he was starting to like her. He had a look in his lonely eyes that he tried to keep hidden from everybody, but Burk saw through his veil and right into his heart. Burk hoped his alpha would explore out his feelings and maybe, just maybe find someone that will take away his loneliness. Even if he failed, Burk knew it wouldn't shame Shu, oh no definitely not. It'd still give him some pride that he at least had tried. Now if only if only...

Shuin's eyes were closed as his head rested on his paw. Chilly breezes blew his fur around but he paid no mind to it. His ears were alert as well as his sense of smell. It was lonely up here granted but he felt it was in his duty to make sure the pack was safe for the night. That and he couldn't let them see all of his emotions and feelings. Sometimes being alone gave him time to reflect on himself and other times it was nice with its peace and quiet. He didn't have to be the alpha for a few moments of his day, didn't have to have all this responsibility to bear on just his shoulders alone. He didn't have to worry about surviving or saving his pack. It was just him, the wind and complete silence. Other times...other times it saddened him to have no one to share his solitude with, no one to receive his affections or attention in a romantic sort of way. No one...

"Rose...enjoying the pack life?" Shuin asked as his deep green eyes opened and turned to look at the figure that so promptly seated herself beside him. His heart warmed to have a little company out with him tonight. "Don't tell me Deter ran you out, I'll have to have a word with him." Shuin frowned. Deter being Deter often turned a lot of wolves away from his presence. He wouldn't have him kicking Rose out of the den though.

The rest of the pack listened to Evorine's story with the quietness that it warranted. "I'm sorry to hear that." Bella replied sadly. Deter grinned widely at her question. He loved it when she used that tone with him. That almost teasing sort of tone, at least that's what he thought he was picking up. "You're alive and to me that's all that matters." Deter replied and looked confused at the shocked stares from the other wolves.

"You feeling ok Deter? What...no 'What do you want? Praise for surviving?' no 'big deal, I would have killed him' none of that? You're just happy...she's alive?" Sheela questioned, surprise reading across her muzzle.

"Well if he came around here I'd tear him to shreds. Yes...I'm happy she's alive." Deter replied, a low growl broke the air at the mentioning of her brother. Deter didn't like Evorine's brother all of a sudden and would tear him apart if he ever stepped foot in their territory.

"Oh of course...I can't believe I'd question such an obvious thing...honey you must be something special." Sheela told Evorine at the end of her sentence as she shook her head. Bella wagged her tail at Deter and whispered something into Winder's ear which made him laugh and then stop when Deter glared at him.

"Well...I'm just...I...I need some water." Deter mumbled and hurriedly made his way to the water source and lapped up some water before he lay down and stared at his reflection. What was he becoming?

“Eh.... Its different for sure,” Rose replied softly before quickly adding. “No Deter didn't kick me out, he didn't do anything.” She mumbled softly, as she layed down next to Shuin. Trying to switch the topic off of her Rose smiled softly, turning towards Shuin. “You seem lonely. Is there anything I can help you with?” She questioned, her yellow eyes locking with his for a breif moment before Rose turned, looking at an imaginary bird.

Evorine just smirked,as Deter trudged off.She had picked up now,that Deter treated her different than the others.It was obvious,and she thought it was quite comical,and she definately didn't mind it.Hers eyes caught everyone else's."So...this isn't normal for him,eh?" She commented smirking,not speaking directly to anyone.Deter had taken a type of hatered for her brother,and she wasn't sure if it was good,or really bad.But,she was happy to have someone, she knew, would protect her if Sulli was to show his terrible face."Oh..Sulli,how I wish you wouldn't of went bad..." She thought,dissapointed."Im,going to...uh...go see where he went.." She said quickly,then she rose and,walked softly to where Deter had gone."Beta...?" she called to him softly...

"You can help me with a lot of things." "Well keeping me company is a good start. I'm happy to see Burk taking a liking to you. Congratulations, you just won over the hardest wolf to befriend in this pack. Deter falls second to that surprisingly enough." Shuin chuckled lightly and then sighed. "Come on Shu, you can do better at that. You're good with talking...words failing right now is not going to help you!" Shuin shouted in his head as he tried to think up something else to say. What was he going to talk about anyway? Why was he having such a problem thinking and why couldn't he take his eyes off he--oh no. It was happening wasn't it? He was starting to like Rose in that way. "I barely just met her, hardly know her...but she's attractive...and I hardly know her. She's smart...but I hardly know her...she's brave...but I hardly know her...she's tough...and once again I hardly know her. Come on Shu, what's going through your head? She doesn't know you either...but that's a problem I can fix isn't it?" Shuin smiled at his thoughts and couldn't believe the road he was going to pursue. In the midst of a possible dangerous threat from a rival pack and he was thinking about Rose? Oh yeah, that was totally being a responsible alpha right there.

"Wouldn't happen to know any single females around here would you? That's another task, not quite impossible you can help me with." Shuin joked but there was a hint of seriousness in there. "Running a pack takes a lot of responcibility and work. It takes smarts and survivability, toughness and the ability to lead with confidence. The pack is yours as you are theres and they're all counting on you for their survival and leadership. Sometimes...it's hard doing all of that alone. I'm only so strong Rose, I have my own breaking point and to have led the pack this far for so long...alone...I can't believe we've lived. But I'm lonely as all hell and the pack could use an alphess, but who'd love me? I'm just the calm lonely sometimes loner alpha busy in making sure we live another day." Shuin sighed and lay his head back down against his paws. It was nice to tell this to someone for once.

"No!" All three of them exclaimed at her question. They watched her leave the circle and go by the confused beta's side. "Well what do you know. Shuin likes Rose but probably doesn't know it, Deter likes Evorine and is confused by it, you two lovebirds are all over each other and that just leaves me and Burk with no one to love." Sheela sighed and locked eyes with Burk. "Don't even think about it buddy." Sheela and Burk laughed before they settled down into talking with the others.

"Who am I becoming...what am I becoming?" Deter was confused as the pieces slowly made their way to fit in place. He had never actually liked a wolf in that certain affectionate way, never had his mood soften and his personality so affected. He couldn't understand all of this but the pieces grinded along in his head and when Evorine spoke it all stopped and he realized he was starting to really like Evorine. One thing though, he was unsure on how to go about this entire little thing. Did she even like him back? Would Shuin approve of them being together? Would they really work...if she even liked him. That was a big thing right there, he probably came off like a stubborn, tough full of himself kind of wolf. What was he to do? Why were there so many emotions running through him?! That was just not natural and he was not liking it at all.

"I'm...just confused is all Evorine. I'm not used to this...these feelings." He bit his tongue, he probably said too much. He might not be ready...what if he wasn't ready for her to know? What if she rejected him right then and there? How would that affect him? He didn't know! Oh the agony of it all, why him of all wolves? Why? He just couldn't fathom why his feelings would betray him now, why did they decide now to put him through all of this emotional marathon. He was a tough, solid wolf, not an emotional baby like Burk sometimes was. What was happening to him? What would happen with them now? What was his world coming too? "Deter oh Deter, you need to get a grip of yourself."

Rose smiled softlty before frowning. She could see that he was lonely and that he hurt. Turning to glance at Shuin she smiled, moving herself closer with him until their fur was touching. She had no idea what she was doing, but she knew it would end good. Laying her muzzle on Shuin's paws, their muzzles almost touching as Rose smiled shyly. She knew she liked Shuin, but never noticed her stronger feelings for him until now. Though she knew they just met, Rose hoped it would work out.

Evorine looked at him,so confused...it confused her! "Well...Beta,if these...feelings...keep it up,you might have to do something about them,Huh?" She smirked at him,she had said it in a teasing way,but her eyes showed seriousness. She sighed,and sat herself promptly beside him,looking him up and down.Ever since she met him,she saw this coming.Evorine twitched as the wind ruffled the bushes,or so she thought.She had jumped,the rogue wolf problem had manifested it's self in her mind,clawing at her until she was on the edge."I could of swore I heard walking..! Oh,Evorine get a hold of yourself! It's only the wind!" she told her self reassuringly.She scooted closer to Deter,just to be safe.

The sudden closeness of her fur made his whole body shudder. What was she doing? His heart beat fast as her head rest on his paw and their muzzles almost touching but not quite yet. Was she teasing him? Flaunting her feminine whiles in his face, or was this something more real? She was new afterall, he didn't quite know what to expect from her. A voice in his head was telling him it was alright and his heart...well at the moment he couldn't get it to shutup. What game was this? A game he had never experienced before, that's what. What if she wanted to back out later though? He couldn't blame her...what if she didn't want to go through with this? He had to know first, he had to make sure this was what she wanted.

"You want this? You're one hundered percent sure?" Shuin asked softly, nervous, feeling sick, but yet his heart was soaring. What feelings an alpha was supposed to feel eh? He was supposed to be as strong and emotionally tough as Deter was and along the line he knew he had utterly failed that a long time ago. She could be his alphess, could help lead the pack and make sure they all survived. She was brave enough, that much he knew and she had a brain which helped a lot ironically enough. Shuin smiled inside his mind, making jokes at a time like this? What was he thinking? He was thinking positively, that's what! If she said yes, what would he do? He didn't quite know the answer to that, he was still very new at this. Nuzzle muzzles and lick a lot he supposed right? Shuin wasn't surprised at the lack of knowledge in this area but he'd give her his all if she accepted him. That much he knew and was proud of. At the very least, he tried.

In the midst of his inner chaos she had gotten him to smile. That teasing tone of hers...oh how he loved that tone. Do something about them? That was like a...a...what was the word...a hint right? A hint, yes! To do something about his feelings...about her obviously. Now was that a hint of go for it or a hint of dropping it? Deter's heart sank at the latter but quickly rose again when she scooted next to him. She had to have meant the first kind of hint right? Yes, otherwise she wouldn't have scooted next to him or used that teasing tone right? Yeah! Deter's mind pieced everything together even with the overload of new emotions which impressed himself. He just chalked it off for being this tough and moved onto the situation at hand. It was his turn to speak wasn't it? "Alright, you're a handsome, tough wolf who could take on anything. Why should this be any different? Lets get started Deter, the faster the better."

"Well I uh...I...um...crap." "Deter come on! What happened? Think! You're doing it right now stupid, get some real words out there." "Do something about them huh? The kind of something I have in mind...I dunno, can you handle all that?" Deter teased back and smiled. "There we go, good thinking...this is harder then it was when I took down that pack a few years back...it was a pretty fair fight. Five against me...ahh the good ole days." Deter's smile widened as he came back to the present with more confidence. He could do this, he was Deter after all! A tough but dashing warrior that couldn't be stopped...until Evorine came along and made him a mess. Evoooriiiiine...oh how he loved that name.

"Yes, why wouldn't I?" Rose asked quietly while she nuzzled Shuin softly. "The question is, do you want it too?" Rose's heart fluttered with hope, not wanting to be let down. She knew no one else in the pack was right for her, besides most of them already had mates. It was the strong connection she had felt when she first laid eyes on her new Alpha. Something about him made her want him, for him to be hers and no one else's, just hers. Everything about him screamed he was the right one, that she shouldn't let him get away. Until now Rose had never believed in love at first sight, but it all changed that first moment they met.Rose knew she wanted to be with Shuin till the end of her days. She could tell he was having just a hard of a time trying to figure this all out as she was.
