Tiny looked up. "No you're not. She is." He rubbed his head against Cinder. "She said you wanted to take me."

[PopcornWaffle]

"Look Tiny, you don't look anything like Cinder. You don't look anything like Death. You're pure white, like me. You have your father's-- Birchfoot's-- eyes."

*Snowfeet smiled a little. She finally got to see his eyes.*

"How do I know?" Tiny mewled. "Maybe you're lying- she said that you wanted to take me." He gazed up at Snowfeet.

[PopcornWaffle]

"Because Death was the one who stole you in the first place. Do you remember the smell of the nursery? The smell of me?"

*Snowfeet held out her paw so he could smell her scent.*

Tiny hesitated, then wobbled over to her. He sniffed her paw then darted back to Cinder. "I remember it.. but maybe papa just stole me back from you.."

[PopcornWaffle]

"No... He stole you only a day after I kitted you. I still have milk."

*She knew she did, she still had to feed Stripekit.*

"But you only got to taste it once. Cinder can't produce milk for a while."

*Snowfeet pointed out.*

"I don't believe you," Tiny mewled. "Mama and papa told me they were my mama and papa first." He still looked up at Snowfeet.

[PopcornWaffle]

"What color is Cinder and Death, Tiny?"

*Snowfeet wailed. She didn't want to yell at her son, but he wasn't speaking any sense.*

"Black and gray! What color are you, Tiny? White! Look at me, white! You're father has your eyes!"

"I don't know that I'm white," Tiny pointed out. "My legs are, but I could look like her. Maybe I don't look like him but.. that happens, right?"
