stonewhisker padded out of the warriors den, flicking his tail.

Echostone nudged her shoulder sportively. "I'll be here though everything, Shiningstar."

Dawnstar trotted eagerly to Stonewhisker when he emerged. "Hi," she squeaked, then licked her fur in embarrassment.

((I admit, I dont think Stonewhisker should be deputy. Just to give someone else a chance at a high rank.))

shiningstar smiled warmly, purring.

stonewhisker tilted his head. "what's going on?"

"Dawnstar left just a short while ago, so patrols will not be assigned for awhile. But going out now couldn't hurt. I know the borders haven't been checked and thus remarked, and prey will flourish there due to the lack of cats scents," Shadeclaw mewed to Pineshade, before turning and exiting the camp, his bushy ebony tail high over his back, yellow eyes alert for any sign of danger as he ventured deeper into waveclan territory. However, the warrior turned upon hearing Smallpool approach, upbeat as usual. Nodding his head, Shadeclaw turned to face Smallpool. "Yes, we are. Mind running with me to check on the border? I've already hunted today, and I know that border hasn't been checked since yesterday evening."

Hawkpaw saw movement in the corner of her eye. Turning, the petite molly's inquisitive teal eyes remained locked on Robinear's lips as she spoke. Lip reading was simply a way of life for her, and luckily, Robinear wasn't a particularly fast speaker, so she deciphered the faint, garbled words quite efficiently. "Yes. I am looking for Buckgorge." As the young molly spoke, she kneaded the ground in anticipation. She wanted to get out of this camp, to practice battle training and hunt, but her mentor was nowhere to be found. It was beginning to annoy the rather impatient molly. "Have you seen him?"

SmallPool nodded in response. "Sure! I was actually planning to go hunting actual but since you already hunted why not." He said smiling. His tail flicked back and forth, it kind of looked like it was wagging.

"Ok, let's go then." Cheetahpelt meowe as she heading for the camp exit. She was really looking forward to going hunting, as she needed to stretch her legs.

Echostone straightened himself. "Alright, I can see the night coming. Shall we eat?" Echostone beckoned to the prey pile.

Dawnstar dipped her head. "No, I was just wondering if you would like to help me sort out patrols tomorrow." Applepelt seemed like a promising deputy, but she wanted to see to her must trusted warrior.

she nodded. "alright. let's make sure that sunsetclan hasn't stepped over the borders first..."

Shadeclaw padded a bit ahead of the younger warrior, but not before mewing over his shoulder to the mollies, "We are going to the border; we'll be back shortly." The sinewy tom then turned back to the task of investigation the border, his tail lowering as his head did. "Don't worry; we're going to be out here awhile. And it's not like you can't hunt on the border if your dying too," the senior warrior said to Smallpool with an amused purr. Ah, these younger warriors, with so much energy and zest for hunting! However, his yellow eyes narrowed as the faint scent of a fox, and the stronger scent of many cats way to close to the border. He'd have to report this to Dawnstar immediately. Shadeclaw took his time to rub his chin on the bark and occasionally scratch it up, remarking the border effectively.
