Alderstar padded towards the rockier, more cliff-like areas of the territory. He stopped every so often, to hunt, catching quite a bit. Then he sat on a tall rock, staring out, towards the outside of the territory.

Lichenstorm ♂|| Warrior ||39 moons||→None

"Finally..." His eyes glared after the she-cat knowing she'd cool off and get over it by sundown. At least Deertail managed to take control of the situation while the deputy and leader seemed completely out of it. Nothing was quite like being disrespected in front of a whole clan, he could understand their frustration.

Vervainclaw ♀|| Warrior ||27 moons||→None

Head slowly lifting, her ears remained tucked against her head as if being scolded by her mentor. While the fight was over things felt unresolved and tense now, not right. It was better than the three snapping at each other however, anything was better than that even if Sorrelstorm was now in danger being by herself in the forest.

Spirit smelled cats now- a female and a male. Thank the gods this was not a dogs territory. She stepped along the border, coming to more of a a cliff like area... Where the heck did this come from...? She shook her head, remaining completely silent as she looked around. One of the scents was defiantly stronger due to- oh...right there. A tom sitting on the rocks, she could smell all the blood by him....not cat blood though, she knows that scent all too well. She cocked her head, debating whether or not to question him about the territory. She already had one bad run in with this...clan business which she assumed this was

Alderstar was brought out of his thoughts when he sensed a cat - Not one he knew, but still a cat. He turned his head slightly. A loner, he could tell. 'Greetings.' He said, simply. Alderstar didn't feel like trying to send them away.

Echomist glanced out the nursery anxiously. Hearing the arguing, she had left her kits to rest, and wanted to know what happened. She soon just went back to them, occasionally eating a bit of the prey given to her.

        BIRCHFOOT
          The tom simply couldn't stand it anymore. This clan was a clan of peace, not a clan of violence. What had ever gotten into Sorrelstorm? Almost right before Deertail intervened, the cat shook his head, angrily flicking his tail before he padded away, snorting to himself. All he had to do now was organize patrols. Alderstar had already left to go, on what he presumed, a solo hunt. With a sigh he padded over to highrock, taking his signature spot before clearing his throat,"It's time for patrols." He said somewhat loudly, hoping to draw some attention. This wasn't the normal way he did things, but under the circumstances, it would work.

Mistheart shook his head, the slightest of sighs escaping his blue maw. Internally, the medicine cat felt something akin the lines of relief. To be honest, part of him was expecting something more dire, like he'd been taking kittypet food from a twoleg nest, or meeting some molly rogue. However, while Sunpaw's actions where less than honorable, the medicine cat was more than willing to let him off this time. After all, he was a kit. He'd suffered enough through the guilt, and it was obvious he would probably never do it again. "I won't," Mistheart said, his voice gentle as usual, however, the soft tone turned for a sterner one. "But, you can never do that again. As a member of our clan, you are part of a great family. The equivalent of what you did is stealing prey from those whom have served and those whom need the prey much more than yourself. However," the medicine cat said, his turquoise gaze turning soft again, "you are still young, and learning. Your obviously expressing guilt and shame for what you did, so you've obviously learned your lesson." Mistheart stopped speaking as an argument broke between Sorrelstorm & Alderstar. The medicine cat watched in absolute dismay as the argument escalated before ceasing, and only because of Deertail's intervention. Watching Sorrelstorm and then Alderstar stalk off made his ears flatten ever so slightly. This was a clan of peace, prosperity and family. Mistheart felt his very nape prickle; infighting simply couldn't be tolerated, and over something so foolish no less! Hearing Birchfoot, whom was obviously agitated call patrols, Mistheart turned back to an obviously distraught Sunpaw. I cannot stand and do nothing. The tension between the clan will only rise if I don't. Would it be best to let the tension pass over? Maybe. But if he could speak to Sorrelstorm and resolve this petty disagreement sooner rather than later, he'd be more than willing to do so. After all, it wasn't just the leader agitated - he could tell many warriors were quite offended and disappointed in this pathetic display, just like himself. It was worth a try to resolve this dispute. Not like he could make things worse.

"Go on over to Deertail. I'm sure he has something planned for your training today, that is if you two aren't summoned for patrols," Mistheart said, gently giving Honeypaw a nudge with his paw to snap him out of his stunned stupor, before slipping out of the camp. Parting his maw, he followed the scent trail Sorrelstorm had left. I hope I am not making this entire situation worse. Upon arriving at the creek, Mistheart spotted Sorrelstorm sitting in the deeper part, obviously still troubled. "Good morning Sorrelstorm," the russian blue said, his soft voice gentle and rather level rather so than agitated or troubled. "Mind if I have a word with you?" He locked his unique teal eyes on the bathing molly, before sitting on the bank and wrapping his tail around his front paws.

Honeypaw

~*Tom-8 moons-Deertails Apprentice*~

Honeypaw really wished he could keep that promise, he truely did. But even though he felt guilty now, what would he feel in a moon or two? Who's to say he won't do worse in the future? He could not even trust himself to not go to a two leg nest during leafbare. His claws extended slightly as he kneaded at the earth uneasily before realizing he had not spoken in some time "I-I will try Mistheart..." He stammered, fighting to continue meeting his gaze. A weight grew in his stomach as he spoke those words that would do nothing more than hint he would do something of the sort again. Despite it being the truth, it wasn't in the slightest reassuring to the medicine cat, and for that he felt even more ashamed. He just hoped if the time came when he was at a crossroads of fate, he would be loyal to his clan and not abandon it. He finally broke his eye contact with Mistheart, nodding his head solemnly before being nudged along to Deertail. He arrived to his mentor in the same spirits when speaking to the medicine cat and merely asked in a level tone "So what training are we going to do today?" Then out of fear of being asked about his mood, he added in more aloofly with a bored expression to boot "I would rather be sleeping than bat at each others heads all day in battle training...."

Sorrelstorm

~*Molly-36 moons-Lunarpaw's Mentor*~

Sorrelstorms ears went erect and she turned suddenly at the slightest noise behind her and the scent of vanilla wafted over her nostrils, its delicious and intoxicating smell being too good to not taste the air around her. The scent could only signify one thing, it was Mistheart, who as well watched the whole argument. She was sure to get an earful from him...though she was greatful it was him and no one else...she saw all their expressions....afraid annoyed...distrusting. The medicine cats voice suddenly broke her out of her trance, looking up to see him just a couple tail lengths away which he quickly closed to one as he sat down by her. Last thing she wanted was someone to pity her...perhaps she should put up a cheerful facade? She would have if she thought the tom would fall for it, which she was sure he would be able to see though...she/was/ sitting alone in the forest after all. "Good Morning Mistheart." Is what see decided to say, it's deadpan tone being a huge nosedive to her previous chirped one. "Crud-That was too sad" she though before looking up quickly "Of course you may" she spoke once more, escalating her tone to sound less sorrowful.

Spirit

~*Molly-16 moons-Loner*~

Spirits gaze remained level to the tom as he spoke to her. This tom- if he was from a clan-was defiantly more tolerant of her presence than the last. She stared at him, her blue eyes large and seemingly vacant as she examined the tom. She sensed something off about him but could not put a finger on it. Though she knew he was previously distressed or annoyed just by his energy. She decided to test the waters. She approached where she stood right between two of the border markers "You are one of these clans aren't you?" She questioned "Normally their names give it away, but owning land is another..." She cast her glance away, throwing sutle shade

Mistheart felt his tail tip twitch at her sad, deadpanned tone. He couldn't blame her for feeling that way. Anytime there was an argument, at least two cats would leave feeling down. I hope I am doing the right thing. "I can understand you may want to be left alone, but I simply cannot ignore what's going on. I thought perhaps talking to you would help... clarify things," Mistheart stated softly, turning his turquoise gaze towards the forest. "From what I saw and heard, you took offense to Alderstar stating that he was afraid that if you became leader, you would lead the clan astray. Well, I can understand where both of you where coming from.

You didn't appreciate anyone talking about you, and you felt as if you were downgrading you, and thus you got extremely frustrated and took offense to what he said. Understandable, but,"
Mistheart exhaled softly, shifting slightly as he searched his mind for the best words to explain. It wasn't helping that his mind was also partly on Honeypaw's parting hesitation. Could the young apprentice become a valuable member to Roseclan? Of course. But would he? Mistheart feared that perhaps Honeypaw could be led astray, tempted by too many evils. Hopefully, being mentored by the ever patient, mature Deertail would help solidify him and shape him into the warrior that this clan needed. But... there was also that one instance that could change everything. Realizing that he never finished his sentence then, the russian blue licked his maw and continued, "Cats are going to talk. About flaws, weaknesses, sometimes secrets that should never spoken about. It's what we, as individuals, do. Alderstar meant nothing offensive by saying that he feared you would lead the clan astray, nor did he mean to make you feel as if he was demeaning your integrity or value to this clan. He was simply stating that he didn't feel as though you were ready for a leadership role, and that's fine! Many cats aren't ready until they are into senior warriorship, which you are a bit a ways off from. It's not as if he was saying you could never become a fine leader as you grow older and mature more," Mistheart said, his gentle voice somehow remaining level as always throughout that entire speech. Standing up and stretching, the medicine cat padded forth and lapped at the stream water before resuming.

"But your reaction.. it was troubling to many individuals.Your apprehension I can understand, however, like I said earlier, many cats will talk about you. If you get into a leadership role, you'll have to deal with that more than ever. Imagine being in Alderstar's place. Oftentimes you'd have to deal with angry rogues, upset warriors, and lots of stressful situations. If you get upset about your clanmates simply stating you have to improve before you can advance, how can you achieve a leadership role? That leads me to your behavior... I can understand your anger. But, you have to learn to control your emotions and find better ways to show how you are feeling. 'The most productive cat in the camp' offended quite a few of your clanmates. Do remember, we are family here. We all work hard to get by together, and we by no means are here to make you feel as if your a detriment to this clan, or anything short of equal to the other warriors here. But you cannot demean others to verify your status. You have to find other ways to communicate your emotions. You are a hardworking, enthusiastic warrior, and for that you should be proud. With work you could become a fine leader. However, you must learn not take offense to everything that some cats say, and if they do say something that troubles you, conduct and portray yourself properly rather so than reverting to barbaric, hurtful means. Remember, we mean you no harm. We are your family. Does that make any sense?" Mistheart said softly, his mesmerizing teal eyes locked on the surface as he dipped his paw in the world and moving it in a circular motion, causing little swirls in the water. "And while we are away from the others, tell me how you feel. Tell me everything; I am here only to help."

Sorrelstorm

~*Molly-36 moons-Lunarpaw's Mentor*~

Sorrelstorm worked her jaw, her shoulders high as her face hovered right above the waters surface as she listened in on Misthearts advice. He was merely stating in a more gentle version what everyone else had. Though it was not true, that's how she felt. She scowled slightly at the mention of Alderstar saying what he did and why, having a comeback for that she would soon use. For the remained of the speech, her expression remained straight as she quietly listened in, every now and then looking up to see a minnow or two dart past her and down the stream. Her dull pale green eyes remained fixated on her submerged paws even when he spoke about her clan mates being offended by her previous comment about being the most productive. Out of all else that was what made her most ashamed. Her mouth was going faster than her mind to keep up, of course she said something as rash and untrue as that...She made a mental note to apologize to each warrior individually when she got back to camp.

Once Mistheart finished, she stood and stepped in reverse out of the water, he lower half drenched in water, the liquid now seeping out of her fur and trailing back into the flow of the creek. Her ears flickered slightly before looking over to Mistheart, tracing around his figure with her eyes before speaking carefully. The last thing she wanted to do was offend the cat after he tried to help her. "For you to tell me those words lifts my heart, but Alderstar as a leader to tell me that and then instead of reassuring me that I will improve and grow into maybe- one day a leader he says I should not have been listening and insults me." Her head lowered again. "It is times like these I think anyone else would have been a better choice for leader..." There was no poison in her words, it was simply how she felt. "I may have just became an apprentice but Pinefoot would have been a great choice, his biggest flaw was how timid he was, but he was so skilled and kind, with enough work he would have made a great deputy and then leader...How sad when that fox cornered and killed him after Alderstar was made deputy..." She trailed off. "Sunheart was my favorite choice" she spoke, a smile in her voice as she was speaking about their long past clan-mates. "She was so funny, she lifted the moral of all her clanmates, even when whitecough broke out. She pushed herself so hard going out multiple times a day to hunt for her starving clan-mates even when she was so herself. She was even laughing about a joke she made right before she died." Her tone turned hollow and she let out a long drawn out sigh.

She took a moment to pause before continuing "The reason why I am saying all this is because Alderstar is...brash...and always in a bad mood...be it because he is under stress with caring for the whole clan or he is annoyed by certain cats actions, myself being a prime example. I just could never see Sunheart or Pinefoot downgrading their clanmates so openly. I believe we all have certain peeves about our clanmates, but never once have I gossiped about it....It is the last thing I would expect a leader to do. So many of use think so highly of them and for them to think you are not worthy of something....you worked your whole life to strive for is...disheartening to say the least." Her damp tail curled around her paws gaze lowering away from his. She may still be young and not ready to become leader, the moment someone says you are not worthy yet, feels to her that she will never be worthy.

Spirit

~*Molly-16 moons-Loner*~

Spirit let her ears fold back at such a short response, and nearly rolled her eyes if he wasn't looking right at her. Her fluffy crooked tail flickered and she squinted at him, advancing to him now, officially within the territory. She began her way up the rocks, as she was she asked "What do they call you?" Unsure if he would run her off, she tried to think of a way to diffuse any possible ideas that she was a threat.
