Cherrypaw looked at Splashpelt again. "You need to speak with me?"

Splashpelt watched the young Tom run off. "You saw Streamthroat didn't you. You ran right past her." He said looking back in the direction the cat lay.

"Yeah," Cherrypaw nodded, looking somewhat upset. "I was so shocked when I saw her..."

"Do you think you could handle being the one to tell Crimsonwing." Splashpelt said feeling bad for Cherrypaw. No cat should have to find a clanmate like that. "I think it would be best if she heard it from you." He added starting off in the direction Rainpaw went.

Cherrypaw followed Splashpelt. She nodded. "Yeah... I can tell her."

Splashpelt heaved a deep sigh. If things had ended different he may have fallen in love with the silver and white she-cat. Padding in silence they caught up with Rainpaw about the time they hit the lake a ways off from the clan. Turning he padded along the shore tail drooping. Seeing Crimsonwing still staring off into the forest. Until the group of three came into her peripheral. The russet she-cat jumped up and ran over.

"Did you find Streamthroat? You must have if you are back so soon. . ." Crimsonwing said excitedly trailing off when she saw a lack of her sister. Maybe she was hurt and needed help? She oh so dearly hoped that was the case. Before she got any reply Splashpelt continued on probably to make a report. Why didn't he answer her? Looking down she spotted Cherrypaw and relief flooded over her momentarily. "I am so glad you are safe." She purred nosing the apprentice as a mother would her kit after it had wondered and given its mom a fright. "I'm sorry about what I said' She added.

(I know no crushing on your own cat but after death drama things :33 *shrug*)

Rainpaw looked back at Splashpelt. "Are you going to report to Nightstar?"

"No no, no need to be sorry. I was acting like a rotten kit!" Cherrypaw laughed nervously. She looked at Crimsonwing, frowning suddenly. "Crimsonwing, I have bad news..."

Splashpelt nodded "Come with me to help with the report." He said ushering Rainpaw away. Knowing that Crimsonwing would need her space. "Nightstar" He greeted ahead not knowing exactly where the leader was.

Crimsonwing felt a purr in her throat until the last words escapred the apprentice. She felt uneasy. "What is it?" She asked after a deep breath her pelt prickling slightly. This was no good.

Nightstar
Nightstar approached Rainpaw and Splashpelt. "Good day, Rainpaw. Splashpelt. Back from scouting?"

"It's... Streamthroat. She didn't... She didn't make it." The small apprentice's voice was wavering as she said this.

  [x]--Snakepaw had to resist the urge to cringe from the ordeal that had just taken an awkward turn. As Honeypaw spoke, Snakepaw looked off into the distance, although he still kept his ears pricked to catch everything she was saying. Once she had finished talking, there as really only thing that Snakepaw thought of what to say. "O-oh..." was the only thing he'd managed to stammered out, before changing his gaze from the lake to the small pebble in that still stood in front of him, before looking back at Honeypaw once more. He sort of just sat there awkwardly, now at a complete loss for words. He tried to look around his surroundings a bit more, as though he were trying to find something else to mention but soon gave up on it. "S-so, um... how... h-how do you catch f-fish...?"
