[x]--When Pinepaw offered to help him collect herbs, something reminiscent to gratitude very briefly gleamed in the tom's eyes for about half a heartbeat, before it disappeared as soon as it'd appeared. "If you're really up to collectin' plants," he began, "then we'll proooobably have to set off to get 'em, like... I dunno... maybe a little bit after I'm done eating?" he said, as he looked down towards the now half-eaten squirrel. "'Cause Thornpelt is probably gonna send me out to get herbs, or whatever, almost as soon as I finish this," he explained, a slight hiss of annoyance in his voice as he took another mouthful of the small animal, taking a morsel a bit larger than usual. As he ate, he couldn't help but think about how ironic it was that this clan had a medicine cat apprentice who hated everything and anything that had to do with herbs and healing.

[x]--The young apprentice couldn't help but let out a small yelp of surprise as he heard his mentor's voice from behind him. He hadn't seen his mentor around the camp, probably because he'd began to space out, so this came off as quite a surprise to him. He quickly swerved around, his tail stiff from shock, to see who was behind him; he quickly identified the cat as his mentor, Nightstar. His tail drooped the floor, and he stopped tensing.

"O-oh... h-hi, Nightstar," he mewed to the older tom, feeling as his face began to heat up with embarrassment. How foolish he must have looked, squealing like a kit! He awkwardly diverted away from his gaze from Nightstar, and didn't look his way as he answered his question. "O-oh, um... y-yes, I... yeah..." he begun shakily, having lost his words for a moment. "Y-yeah, I... I'm usually u-up this early, it's kind of... it's kind of a h-habit, I think, f-for me to wake up this early," he admitted.

[x]--The lithe she-cat made her way outside of the warrior's den and out into the clearing, feeling her dark-colored pelt being warmed by the sunlight that began to shine overhead. She took a glance at the sky, noticing how the sun had just began to rise, before bounding over to the fresh-kill pile. She quickly scanned it, not because she really wanted to eat anything but so that she could decide how much hunting she should try and get in today.

Nightstar gave the apprentice an uncharacteristic, reassuring smile. "I see. A good habit for a warrior." He looked towards the camp entrance. "I am usually up by now as well. It is a trait more should pick up, don't you think?" The tom purred in amusement. Though he found it difficult to be so friendly, he found himself acting jovially around his apprentice.

Pinepaw nodded. She vaugely knew about some herbs having helped out before a few times and from being sick as a kit. She sat her tan tail wrapped around her paws as she waited for the tom to finish eating. She was glad she was able to help especially with how much he showed distaste for gathering herbs. She could see how the thrill of a hunt would be a lot more fun than looking behind bushes and digging up roots. She hoped she could hubt while out and about because if you weren't on hunting duty you could hubt for yourself. For the most part. She was planning to bring back some fresh kill for safe measure though.

Thistlestep lifted his head every so slightly over some ferns tail lashing slightly. He waited as the thrush hopped closer knowing if he tryed getting closer himself it would probably get away. Just a little closer. Shifting his weight he leaped his belly brushing the fronds his paws landing squarely on its target taking down the feathered creature with a triumphant merrow.

Crimsonwing got out of her nest with a soft stretch sitting down she smoothed out her fur and padded out of the warriors den purring as she breathed in the scent of the clan. Her stomach growling she wondered if she could join a hunting patrol

-Streamthroat/Open-

Streamthroat was by the fresh kill pile chewing on a mouse she had picked from it. Her eyes on the ground and her tail curled around her paws.

Splashpelt/Open-

Splashpelt crouched over a stream hoping for a fish or two his teal eyes on the water and his ears pricked waiting for a silver shining fish to swim by. But the only ones he saw where to small to even go for.

Rabbitpaw trotted into camp holding a vole in his jaws a purr in his throat. He looked around excited for his next task

emerging from the apprentice den, deerpaw took a seat just outside the den. the tom let out a short yawn and proceeded to clean his pelt, trying to rid it of random moss pieces and stray hairs. once finished he let his gaze travel around the busy camp. tilting his head slightly he wondered "where is splashpelt..." deerpaw was hoping that maybe they could go out hunting or maybe even go for a short swim.

abiding by the she-cats request he got off of her. a wave of embarrassment washed over him as he realized that his weight was probably greater than hers and she probably had a hard time breathing, especially after a run like that.
"sorry" he mumbled as he got off. his light brown fur was still bristled as he carefully eyed the white cat. definitely a loner.
"i'll ask again, who are you" he meowed in a guarded tone, the tip of his tail flicking as he spoke.

Crimsonwing looked up hearing the apprentices mutterings "If I know Splashpelt I would check along the stream that leads to the lake." She said with a soft smile "If you can't find him you can come back and join me and Cherrypaw on a hunting patrol" she added. Speaking of Cherrypaw where was she.
