Batpaw's filmy eyes widened, but nothing else gave away the surprise and shock at Eden's playful statement. Not many cats he'd met, period, would toss a sarcastic remark at him, even if it was playful. His large, partly namesake ears shoved forward then as he heard Eden's cheery goodbye and part. A few seconds after that rigid posture of surprise, a rare smile crossed his slender maw, and the apprentice chuckled to himself, shaking his head and picking up his beech leaves, feeling marginally better than he had just moments ago. Posture now a bit more relax, the medicine cat apprentice exited the camp, dropping the old herbs once he was far enough out and continuing on his merry way; south, towards the little stream that ran just within the border.

Dapplepaw tilted her head, her eyes narrowing a bit before she nodded to show she'd understood her mentor's statement. Plan your actions, but go with the flow as necessary. Got it! "Bury it," the tortie replied quickly. She was enjoying this outing too much; she didn't want to go back to camp yet, even if it was to drop off a piece of prey. Glancing around, her golden orbs danced over the terrain; it took her own a few moments to realize it was much too rocky to bury a piece of prey deep enough for the scent to be concealed. Oh. Now that she thought about it, the best places where near camp anyway. "On second thought.." the molly said with a sheepish grin, "Is taking it to camp okay?"

Foxclaw's bushy orange tail lashed. "Smells like it. She must've slipped out of camp on her own again," the senior warrior muttered softly, his amber eyes narrowing again. It wasn't safe for apprentices to just leave on their own. Mosspaw was old enough to not have to warrior about any large birds of the sort, but what about rogues? Standing up, the senior warrior stretched. "If she isn't back in a few minutes I'll go looking for it. It isn't safe out there." Not to mention she didn't ask for permission to leave or tell anyone where she was going.

He was a bit confused as she changed her mind, but didn't show it in fear of offending her. "We can go back a ways to where the grass grows and hunt there if you'd like to stay out. We don't need to hunt in one place after all, maybe the patrol will be sent here." Curious if Littleflame was still sleeping or had started to organize patrols already, he prayed they didn't go all day without a border patrol. They'd been one of the first two cats to leave camp, but apprentices were restless, it was unlikely they were the only ones in the forest. "Come on, we'll find some dirt and continue looking." The grey tabby declares before tracing their steps back towards the thick patches of trees.

Brightstar smelled the air and nodded. He noticed Mosspaw's brother, Smokepaw, and that confirmed that Mosspaw was awake. "You should do that. Many patrols have reported of few rogues wandering around here and if Mosspaw has been around the border, she must have bumped into one." the leader said thoughtfully, then finishing his prey.

Silverpaw dropped the squirrel and put some dirt onto it. "Well, hunting really isn't my thing. I have these," he lifted his big front paw. "so I can't keep that quiet anyways." he continued and shrugged. Silverpaw could see that something was bothering his mentor, but he decided to not point it out. He continued the hunt with a small smile on his face, normal for him. He glanced over to Stoatwhisker now and then, but he kept going normally.

Morningsoul finally woke up. She opened her eyes and yawned, then getting up and stretching. She slowly walked out of the warriors den and into the camp. The warrior looked around and padded to a sunny rock, then jumping onto it. She started to groom herself and warm herself in the sun.

Snowpaw kept padding towards the border, when she smelled another cat. Her ears perked up as she quietly walked towards the smell. Soon she heard the other cat, talking to themselves. The she-cat jumped out of the bush, right in front of the rogue. "Stop right there!" she said and unsheathed her claws. Snowpaw was still inside Sunclan territory, so she had the right to try stop the rogue.

Her blue eyes blink slowly, knowing he wasn't going to be as good as her. He was built for fighting, guarding, being someone dependable for weaker cats. It was still a proud title even if he only caught prey every other hunt, some cats were like that. "Don't worry about it too much, you can manage which is good. You've seen me in battle, I'm hardly a match for those paws but I'm still a warrior. Any talent is a gift, you'll become a strong warrior soon enough." She assures him, still questioning herself if he was ready. Catching the scent of a robin, she pauses and pricks her ears wondering if they should split up.

His large ears shift toward the smaller cat, his slim figure sliding down the tree onto all four of his paws again. He'd probably seen her before, the dappled pelt seemed somewhat familiar but all clan bloods smelt the same. "Shouldn't you be bothering someone your own size?" The Siamese looked fragile and thin from a distance, but he was tall and well built as far as he was concerned. No reason to be afraid of this cat, not to mention she didn't exactly look the part to be chasing him.

Silverpaw was about to answer to Stoatwhisker, when he could see her smell something. He smelled the air too and smelled the robin. The tom thought that they could split up, mostly because his mentor seemed to think so too. Silverpaw went to the opposite direction from Stoatwhisker, keeping quiet. He wasn't going to really do the job himself, he would mess it up anyways. He waited for Stoatwhisker to let him know when to jump, unless she was going to do so herself.

Snowpaw sighed and rolled her eyes. "Maybe, but you're about to cross the border to Sunclan territory and my duty is to keep you away." she said, her tone tired. She looked at the tom from bottom to the top and tilted her head. "And it doesn't mean that I wouldn't be a match of some kind for you in battle. You're slim and tall, but you don't look that strong." the apprentice said, with a teasing tone. She tilted her head and waited for this rogue to shoot something back.

She loved the taste of a fat robin any day, it sure beat a mouse or shrew and actually filled her belly. She was a good jumper, so birds were easy for her to catch even if her claws missed a solid grip on the ground. Since he seemed eager to try again. she decided they could try to hunt it together. It was too good to miss! "Alright, I'll move to the other side of the clearing just in case. Birds have the best eye-sight, so take it slow and steady; no rush." It's scent on the other side of a thick bush, plenty of cover if he was a smaller cat... Keeping low and silent, she circles the area until she could see the red-breasted bird pecking among the grass for bugs or worms.

"You're one to talk, but what else would one do with such a mouth." He grumbles, bemused by her comment when she hardly looked fit for a fight herself. A kittypet once brought up a twoleg term for something like this, but he couldn't remember the words. "You're just wasting your time and mine frankly, I'm not over the border and if you pick fights over here it'd be considered unjust." His tone flat an emotionless like his face, not allowing her to crawl under his skin.

Similar to when he lead her to his den, the young tom never looked back, simply walked confidently in the direction of the clan border, ears twitching a bit from time to time. His confidence level was through the roof, though he was unaware if any other cats would meet him at the border... Or meet him with hostility. It had happened before, and he responded with his own attacks, he simply wished it would not happen before this she-cat. "Ah... Here we are." His nose crinkled a bit, as though terrible memories were washing through his brain at the scent of the felines who occupied the clan.

She stopped just before the border. "Thanks." She muttered, looking straight ahead. "Maybe I'll..see you around tomorrow." She told the rogue with a shrug, before flicking her tail and making her way into Sunclan territory. She didn't glance back, but began preceding towards camp, tail slowly waving back and forth as she walked.

Silverpaw made his way to the other direction from Stoatwhisker. He was quiet and slow, and made sure that he wouldn't scare the robin off. He stopped behind a bush, and peeked behind it to see the bird. He could see Stoatwhisker too. Silverpaw looekd at Stoatwhisker, his gaze quite questioning. It was like he was asking for permission to do something.

Snowpaw sat down and looked at the rogue. "But I'm still on Sunclan territory too." she said and tilted her head. "And I'm just talking, if I stay here and don't come over there, I can do whatever I want." the she-cat meowed and smiled innocently. Snowpaw straightened her head and stared at the tom. "So, who are you?" she asked. "You don't have to answer though, if you want to be boring." she said and shrugged.

Her blue eyes narrow at the bird, her muscles tense in case her apprentice missed the catch by a claw. Judging by the way the bird was facing, she could snatch it out of the air if she was quick enough... Feeling confident, she nods slightly at Silverpaw and readies herself for the bird to either take flight or be drug down by the large tom.

Her sudden change from aggression was a bit shocking, the tom was taken back by her sudden interest in becoming acquainted. However, she just had to end her sentence with some annoying comment like that. "My name would only throw off a clan cat like yourself. It's not something silly like Gadget or Brownie." Kittypets had tried to give him names before, to this day he was baffled by their suggestions. "It's Spidertail, who might you be, paw?" Fairly certain she wasn't a warrior acting the way she was.
