- --------- It came to no surprise to Firefang as he watched the dusty she-cat's lack of enthusiasm towards what his plans were. Deciding he would talk to her more in depth about it later on, he turned his attention to the red kittypet before him, unable to hold back a chuckle towards her bubbly and joyous attitude, reminding him greatly of Vervainclaw. "Good, I am sure it won't take long to work with either of you," he spoke, then once more looking to the first she-cat, "I am sure you are well rounded, it is only to see what you are capable of and to give pointers if need be," Firefang assured, seeing practical resentment in her eyes at the thought of being treated as though she were some kit.
Standing to his full height, Firefang allowed for his tail to hang low behind him as he turned to examine the short distance of his territory before it turned into unclaimed land. "Come, we will hunt and then find shelter for you to, then I shall leave," he spoke, curiously looking back to the dusty fae as though wondering how she might react to the thought of him parting, assuming she would be quite delighted. Making his way out of the territory with the two alongside him, he gave an ever so soft sigh, "If either of you at any point wish to leave and continue life as before, then so be it," he said with a pause, checking over their expressions for some sort of a feeling that may be hidden within their attractive features.
"Let me tell you of my clan," Firefang began, the trio continuing into the unclaimed forest before them. "When I was a warrior, our leader was a Dawnstar, a glorious and proud she cat in which ruled us with a caring embrace. To this day I wish her passing had been delayed," he spoke, sadness in his eyes. "Alas, the time came for a new leader to come into place. The deputy, Toadfoot had always been a mysterious one, yet Dawnstar had been told from Starclan that he would lead them to great changes," he trailed off ever so slightly, remembering the horror everyone had felt upon realizing the changes he had brought. "He killed Dawnstar when she was at her weakest, having been ambushed by rouges. It was an unfortunate demise, but I along with my closest warriors avenged Dawnstar's death. Despite our grieving, it was time to appoint a new leader, a white she-cat within our clan came to bear the title, and I her deputy due to slaying the fool that killed our leader. Lilystar is her name, and though she is no Dawnstar, I believe her to be a gracious and strong leader. I do believe the two of you would grow to like her, she has much of the same attitude," Firefang spoke with a delicate smile gracing his features, eyes looking over the two faes. "Dangers lie in these woods, which is why we are safest as a clan," he summarized, being as it was his final argumentive point as to why he felt it was sensible for them to join once they were ready.
The trio of felines came across a small cave tucked away on the side of a rocky drop off, Firefang moving down to inspect it, praying to Starclan that there was not a badger held within its shadows. "If you two like, I feel this would work well for the time being, we can collect some moss to make you comfortable," he spoke to himself mostly towards himself, looking back at them as he awaited what their thoughts were of the den. It wasn't so bad, and had enough room for the two she-cats to stay cozy within it. Stepping into the dry cave, he cleared out the floor the best he could of various things that littered the earth, wrinkling his nose ever so slightly as his paw met a rather rotted rabbit that must have come here for shelter as it died of a rather nasty bite wound to its back. Deciding it were clear enough, he slowly bent down and picked up the rabbit's loose flesh, quickly padding out away from the cave and setting it down on some pine nettles, quickly covering it so as to hide the retched scent. "Well, I feel we are due to hunt," he spoke softly, only glancing back to the two she-cats before he lowered his stance, staying alert for any prey that might be near.
