With a nod, Willowtail replied, "That sounds perfect. Brookpaw, do you want to hunt alone?" She knew the eager apprentice loved hunting with others, but sometimes she needed time to think. With a sly grin, she added, "Or maybe Maplepaw and Brookpaw would like to hunt together." She looked at Brokenstone with amusement dancing in her eyes.

An elder Tom awoke as voices entered his ears. These voices, coupled with the sunlight shining outside, caused the elder to awaken fully and rise to his paws, stretching out his limbs and body before he padded out of the elder den. Cloudpaw could see a group of younger cats gathering and nodded at them before padding off to the river to get a drink.

As Lilystar padded out her den, she spotted Cloudpool walking off out of camp. She highly respected the elder; he had been a fine warrior before he became an elder. It seemed like he was headed for the river, and she suddenly realized that her mouth was getting dry. Might as well get a drink... she thought, breaking into a run and catching up with the elder. "Hello, Cloudpool!" She greeted politely.

As Lilystar padded out her den, she spotted Cloudpool walking off out of camp. She highly respected the elder; he had been a fine warrior before he became an elder. Cloudpool slowed down as he heard his name and turned his head to see LIlystar hurrying to catch up with him. "Good morning LIlystar. I assume you're here for a drink at the river or a stroll for some moments of peace and quiet from your duties?" Cloudpool asked. Every leader needed to have time to get away from clan life in the elder's opinion.

She nodded, smiling. "I can give you some poppy seeds for now, otherwise it would be best just to rest and bear it, the pain wont stick for much longer" she said, disappearing into the back of her den to find the seeds. She came back out with a beech leave carrying the seeds. "here, though don't eat the leaf" she smiled.

She was a bit uncertain looking over camp, wondering which cats had been sent on the hunting patrol now that the sun was up. The air was still a bit cold being leaf-bare, but the bright orb had offered the clan some warmth through the day. Spotting the slightly older calico seeming a bit bored by the warriors den, she pads over with a faint smile on her face. "Hey Reedtail, Snowpaw not around?" Referring to his apprentice, though she hadn't seen hers all day either.

Lilystar purred. "Yes, that's exactly why." With an awkward voice, she admitted, "I don't know if I'll ever live up to Dawnstar. Everyone expects me to be great and all. I'm just a normal cat!" Lilystar suddenly felt self-conscious. "Sorry. You probably don't want to stand here listening to me ramble." She took a small lap at the water.
