''I will announce the patrols for the day. Shadowstep, Meadowheart , Mousepaw and Snowpaw will be going on the border patrol, Leopardpelt, Addertail, Smokeyes and Nightwhisper will be taking the hunting patrol, That's all, Dismissed.''

She leaped down from the Highrock and gave all her clan mates a polite bow, she turned to the Hunting patrol and padded over to Leopard pelt.

''There is a shortage of prey in the forest, try and catch everything you can.'' She purred, then turned to her sister, Mousepaw.

''Don't go running off, got it mouse?'' Juniperstar chuckled then padded off to her den.

''I'll behave! I promise sister!'' Mousepaw called after Juniperstar before seeing her sister disapear into her den.
''Right, let's go!'' Mousepaw chirped and bounced off with her patrol following her close behind.

The she-cat perked up at the sound of going on a border patrol. And with a couple of apprentices as well. This would certainly be an interesting day for the young warrior. Though, before she could get too excited, her older brother passed by her, muttering a warning about some cat he had seen within their borders.

Listening to the leader's advice, he had nodded before padding over to his sister for a moment. "I've seen someone out there who doesn't belong here. Be careful. You don't know what they're like."

The rogue had been passing through clan territory for a few days now, snatching up whatever food he could find, despite the amount of prey seeming to grow scarcer by the day.

Leopardpelt dipped his head excitedly. He liked hunting better than patrolling. "I will do my best to catch plently," He promised to Juniperstar, his leopard-pelted fur rustling in the faint wind. His amber eyes were fixed on the rest of his patrol. "Addereye, Smokeeyes, Nightwhisper, let's go." He led them off into the forest, parting his jaws to scent any prey.

Personality:
A rather coil-driven tom, Partridgestep is a tom who will not stop working until the deed is done. Instead of sending cats off to do harsh tasks, he goes and does them with them, helping them out and keeping an eye on them. Partridgestep isn't very fond of treating warriors who make a goof of themselves. Especially those who have to come to the medicine den to get him to pluck out a thorn they can very well get themself. He could be treating someone who needs medical attention, and easily snaps on those types of people. Partridgestep is used to those showing and voicing their dislike for herbs, but is very fond of his apprentice. He tends to act upbeat for the smaller tomcat, and is always there to offer motivation.
Strengths:
Partridgestep is a hardworking feline, hes not one to quit easily. He is also made up of silky fur that is easily knotted, and had broad muscles. His silky fur easily gets caught and knotted with claws, so he suffers only a few bits of harsh hair pulling. HIs broad muscles and paws held him fend off those who dare attack a medicine cat.
Weaknesses:
Partridgestep's fur is also a weakness, he can get heat strokes more easily and hurls up hairballs more often. Hes also not the best at fighting, and he focuses more on his brains then brawns.
Appearance:
A average-legged cat with silky stalks of wispy chocolate brown fur, Partridgestep is a persian mix with a normal muzzle. His ears are short in terms of length, but are large in width. His earfur is silky and creamy. which helps prevent dust and all sorts. His chest is large and thick and easily knotted, and its colored a neat, auburn/brown color. His tail is long and heavy, with spiky fur. He has Maine Coon blood as well, which hints to his large build. Partridgestep's eyes are owlish and large, colored a sweet hazel color.

''Great, she just has to put me with a bunch of mouse-brained cats.'' Addertail spat, ''I'm only doing this for the clan, not for Juniperstar'' She narrowed her eyes then padded off following her patrol.

''Leopardpelt'' She walked up beside the spotted tom, ''I'll take the west side of the territory with Smokeeyes, you go with Nightwhisper.'' She flicked her tail and bounded through a large bramble bush and took a deep breath to scent any pray lurking around her.

''Thank you, Leopardpelt.'' She purred, watching the patrol leave through the fines that hung from the entrance of her den.

Her ears twitched as she overheard the apprentices' conversation while watching her brother walk off with the hunting patrol. Crouching down to the young cats' heights, she meowed, "No other cat sees you doing what, exactly?"

Smoke-eyes padded back over to his own patrol, nodding as Addertail thought of the idea to spread out. At least she seemed to know what she was doing, anyway. He could pick up on the she-cat's bitterness, but decided to remain silent. ..For now.
Hearing a low rustle in some nearby bushes, he crouched down low, remaining perfectly still and waiting for the creature to reveal itself.

The tom had begun to scratch at a caved-in rabbit hole, picking up the scent of prey, albeit faint. He had some hope that there might be something still in there.
