Hawkpaw eventually came to a panting halt at the edge of the forest. Looking up, she saw rows of buildings, and her eyes widened. "Just how far away from camp am I..?" She murmured to herself. Her curiosity got the better of her, and she leapt up onto the back fence of a house, looking down into it. A strange creature on two legs spotted her, and a loud squeal came from its mouth. Her ears laid back as she expertly ran across the narrow fence.
