Crowpaw
Crowpaw licked one of the leaves. It stuck to her tongue making her go cross eyed as she tried to look at it. She shook her head but to stayed on her tongue, causing her to grimace. Crowpaw decided to just stuff the rest of the leaves in her mouth to just get it over with.

Jaggedtail
Jaggedtail smiled and nodded. He curled up in his nest, his tail wrapped around his muzzle.As he slowly closed his eyes, it didn't take long before he was in a deep sleep.

Brightfern
Brightfern nodded back to Darkstrike and went back to Riverpaw. She sat down in front of her, and drew one paw over her ear.

Darkestrike
Darkstrike stifled a laugh at the sight of Crowpaw eating the leaves. He nodded his head to Brightfern to thank her, and then back to Crowpaw. "At least you at them." He meowed with a small chuckle under his breath.

Crowpaw looked to her mentor and pouted. "That was awful! I couldn't get it off!" she said still slightly freaked out. But her face melted into a emotionless expression once again. "When you leave, can I go talk to someone? I don't want to be left here in this den again. the she-cat said slowly, unsure of what she was even saying.

Boulderstar

Boulderstar lifted his head sleepily. The morning sun streamed into the den and the tom blinked his eyes. Boulderstar sat up and padded, with stiff muscles, out of his den. He took a breath of fresh air and observed the camp. Not many cats were up yet. The leader sat outside his den as he waited for the clan to awaken.

Mosstail

Mosstail blinked the sleep a=out of her eyes and stood up. She pushed her way out of thee warrior's den and into the camp clearing. Mosstail waited patiently for the morning patrol announcements. After a second she remembered that Boulderstar would be announcing the new deputy today.

Charlie

Charlie snored softly in his den. He wasn't planning on getting up until the others did. Besides, he was having a great dream about a fat mouse he was chasing.

Blossomfur

Blossomfur lifted her head and looked around. It took her a moment to realize where she was but then she remembered she had spent the night in a tree near camp. Blossomfur got up and slowly made her way down to the tree.

Ravenpaw

Ravenpaw got up from his nest and padded into the clearing, looking around for his mentor, Hazelbreeze

Riverpaw

Riverpaw nodded, "I can do it. I'll be back soon then", she meowed and headed out of the den. Riverpaw padded across the clearing and into the forest. Once in the forest, Riverpaw went to the nearest tree and grabbed a few small twigs from the forest floor. She then sniffed around for some bindweed. Just to her luck, there was some growing on the other side of the tree. Riverpaw nipped a few from the ground and headed back to camp.

Jaggedtail
Jaggedtail smiled and nodded. He curled up in his nest, his tail wrapped around his muzzle.As he slowly closed his eyes, it didn't take long before he was in a deep sleep.

Brightfern
Brightfern nodded back to Darkstrike and went back to Riverpaw. She sat down in front of her, and drew one paw over her ear.

Darkestrike
"Sure, you can go talk to someone. Also, you may have today off once more, go and socialize with the other apprentices." He offered and knelt to give her a comforting lick on the ear. He stood up and padded out of the den. Once he was out he made way for the fresh kill pile and grabbed two voles. One of them was for Wolfflower, but he had no intention of waking her up if she was asleep. As he came to the front of her den, he walked in quietly and placed the vole at her paws. He hesitated for a moment, but then turned and began to head out of the den.

Crowpaw
Crowpaw slowly made her way out of the den, cringing once she was outside. Once her eyes adjusted, she looked around curiously. Now, who to talk to? She didn't have any friends and it was obvious none of the other apprentices really liked her, and the warriors found her rude, unsettling, and boring. She frowned and sat, suddenly very uncomfortable.

Wolfflower and Silverkit
The smell woke her. She took a deep breath before opening her tired eyes. She smiled at the vole before lookin up, catching sight of the tom who brought it to her. "Darkstrike?" the queen asked yawning. Her brain was still pretty much asleep and she was still very tired for some reason.

Jaggedtail smiled and nodded. He curled up in his nest, his tail wrapped around his muzzle.As he slowly closed his eyes, it didn't take long before he was in a deep sleep.

Brightfern
Brightfern nodded back to Darkstrike and went back to Riverpaw. She sat down in front of her, and drew one paw over her ear.

Darkestrike
Darkstrike froze at the sound of his name and let out a sigh. "Good morning Wolfflower, I'm sorry I woke you." He apologized as he gave his chest fur a quick lich of embarrassment. He wanted to give her a lick on the cheek, but didn't want to risk Silverkit waking up to that.

Dawnsun
Dawnsun yawned. She heard the tweeting of birds and she was about to go about daily business. Then all exhaustion was wiped clean from her paws. Boulderstar was announcing the new deputy! She got up and bounced out of the den, sitting outside and grooming her fur to look presentable. It could be her!

Sundapple
Sundapple blinked open her eyes and felt the excitement of every cat crackle through the air like greenleaf lightning. For a moment she was confused, then remembered. "Jaggedtail, who do you think the new deputy will be?" She asked the older tom in a loudish voice, trying to wake him up.

Smokestep
Smokestep slept, his belly rising and falling gently. His tail was curled over his nose and his eyes shut. His ear twitched involuntarily every so often as he slept.

Wolfpaw
Wolfpaw woke up and left the den promptly. He sat outside and casually groomed his fur. He could feel the excitement of every warrior radiating from each pelt, but he wasn't as excited. Maybe it was because he knew it wouldn't be him. Yet.

Wolfflower smiled. "It's ok. I'm glad you visited us dear." the queen said kindly, still pretty much asleep. But she was slowly becoming more and more awake.

Boulderstar

Boulderstar looked around and noticed that most of the cats were awake. The leader bounded up on to the Gathering Rock, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here beneath the Gathering Rock for a clan meeting", the tom called. He sat down and waited for the clan to gather, "If any cat has not yet awoken, please gather them out to the clearing."

Mosstail

Mosstail looked up as her brother called a meeting. She knew what it was for. Though Mosstail had no desire to be deputy, and Boulderstar knew it, she still felt anxious to know who would be the new deputy.

Charlie

Charlie peaked his head up as he heard Boulderstar call a clan meeting. He got up quickly and spotted Smokestep still sleeping. Charlie prodded the warrior with a paw, "Hey, we're about to have a clan meeting. Get up", the tom meowed.

Blossomfur

Blossomfur sat in a corner of camp, excited to see who would be the clan's future leader. Her paws kneaded the ground as she looked around, wandering who Boulderstar would choose.

Ravenpaw

Ravenpaw turned his attention to Boulderstar, awaiting the leader's next words.

Riverpaw

Riverpaw made it to the camp just in time to hear Boulderstar's announcements. She quickly dropped off the herbs to the medicine den and hurried back into the clearing.
